I was rear ended by a drunk driver as i was stopped at ared light. There was actually a video cam of the accident. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance on march 1 2007.I have been disabled since. Under massachusetts law I am entitled to lossed wages by the insurance company of the car i was driving. It has been 5 months since i filed my personal injury protection claim to hanover insurance. since that time I have been jumping through hoops to get my lost wages.Adjuster Maryellen Hutton and her supervisor corrinne gaffney have done nothing but lie and show their incompetence since day 1.When i threatened to sue Hanover under 93A they turned my file over to their investigative team to investigate. This was done just to delay my claim and harrass me. i am in the process of drawing up my 93a complaint which will entitle me to triple damages once I show that Hanover insurance has acted in bad faith. This should be pretty easy since in Massachusetts this part of auto insurance is no fault. How does Hanover plan on explaining their deliberate abuse of my claim, for crying out loud their is a video of the accident. DO NOT USE HANOVER INSURANCE. THEY DO NOT PAY WHEN YOU HAVE A CLAIM. THEY LOSE RECORDS LIE AND ARE COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT

I was the passenger in a car rear ended by a 35 ton 18 wheeler truck while standing at a red traffic light. I have been disabled since. The truck was owned by a large transportation company and at that time insured by Hanover Insurance. The driver of the truck informed his boss before looking if anyone was injured and he had a lawyer before the police arrived. He left the scene before the ambulance arrived. If I hadn't been unconscious, I would have protested vigorously. He didn't file a report or make a statement; his conversations were exclusively with his lawyer and later lied under oath to my attorney. Hanover's response to a settlement demand was a countersuit against the driver of the car I was in. They accused him of stopping for a red light instead of going through the intersection. I was harassed by Hanover Insurance for 5 years. Arbitration was rejected (in the third year). At my deposition (in the fourth year) I was interrogated for over 3 hours and treated like I was a criminal. My entire life history was exposed, all my medical records were released and all my doctors were deposed. The mediation (in the fifth year) was muddled by the countersuit Hanover filed to obfuscate and further harass me. Mediation was ineffective because Hanover was unwilling to negotiate. Including the trial, Hanover's expense to defend this claim was by far higher than the settlement demand. My doctors were subpoenaed to appear in court as witnesses. At the time of settlement I counted 11 lawyers who at one time or another were involved and dragged into this mess. The settlement amount Hanover paid did not cover liens, medical expenses, and legal fees. Zero compensation for pain and suffering, zero for future medical expenses and zero for loss of earning capacity. Now ask yourself this, if something doesn't make sense, than there is information missing: What is Hanover protecting that is worth so much more than the claim itself? What do I not know? Do the lawyers they retain realize they are being played? Would I care to explore and conjecture if pacified by fair compensation? Would I perceive what I observe? Would I WRITE about it?
