I contacted insurance company for roadside tow assistance. I was given the tow company information with a 60 minute response time for tow. 65 minutes later I called tow company to get the status of tow location. I was told it would be 15 more minutes.
1 hour and 45 minutes later the tow driver arrived. Driver stated that car could not go on flatbed. Driver called tow companym stated that another truck was coming and left. I explained to driver my car has always been towed on flatbed.
I contacted tow company and dispatcher said basically what the driver said. The next truck(not a flatbed) arrived 40 minutes later. The second driver stated that he did not understand why the first driver did not tow car on flatbed because my AWD luxury car requires a flatbed tow. Second tow driver lifted the front of my car up and placed the rear wheels of car on wheel tow dolly.
A total of 2 hours 5 minutes for a tow is unacceptable. Clearly the two different tow drivers had difference ofpr opinions in towing my car. No apolopgy was provided for the outrageous delay in towing my car. When a tow company states a report time and does not honor it, there should be communication made to the stranded driver about the delay. Having a tow driver call and stated that they're on the way is unacceptabe.
i felt like I was at the mercy of the tow company given the fact that it was 65 minutes into waiting for tow driver at 1:11 am when my car broke down. Customer service was very poor and they do not stand by their word!!!
