Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We purchased a 52' Mitsubishi DLP television, stand, cable's, surround sound the works. Even the GE Extended Warranty we paid a few extra hundred to be covered for five years. The TV alone was $3000.00.

We bought this in January of 2005 Now three years later and regular service cleanings, We have a blank screen in our tv room. It went out one week before May 3rd because that is how long it took electra-sound to get out to our home. On that day they pulled the Chasis(main insides of the TV) and took it to there shop. Electra-sound could not fix it---- it continued to turn off. So they sent it to Mitsubishi(recieved it on May 22nd) and they informed me it would take 4-6 weeks to repair.

On July 14th they reinstalled the part and well it failed one out of three tests recommended by Mitsubishi and so it would need another part ordered for the repaired part to work.

On July 27th repair man returns part installed and yes we have a blue screen.

Five days later Same thing TV does not work.

I called Customer Relations whom I have talked with numerous times to inform them that the 90day repair time frame stated in the extended warranty(information given to me by Sharena a GE customer relations supervisor) was up on August 3rd and my TV still is not fixed.

I informed her I do not want it repaired I want a new one. If not I would be Calling the TV station and filing a small claims suite. I would also be informing HH Greg and Mitsubishi of the court case as they would be mentioned in it.

Her reply was we need to get a tech out there to verify that it is not working first. I asked her for a authorization number for the service and she said it would still be under the same auth # and gave me a direct repair number to electro-sound for repair. There I was greated with well what is the problem now.

So tech comes out tommarrow Fri. 8-8. I hope to have a new TV in my house this weekend. Wish me luck

Angie, OMG we are going thru the exact same problem as you are!!!! Electrosound took our chasey 3 months ago!!! I finally got ahold of a nice person at Eletrosound her name is Rebecca. She seemed very helpful and actually called me back. She gave me some not so good news. She said she tracked down the chasey at the Mitts warehouse. Unfortunatly the Mitts warehouse closed down and move to another warehouse. They are not supposed to open back up until 8/13/08. I said well were does that leave me another 6 to 8 weeks until my TV is fixed! She was going to call me back on Thursday after calling Mitts back when they open back up on Wed and let me know that status of the chasey. She did say that in our extended warranty it does stat that after 90 days they are supposed to take the next step and that would be hopefully replacing the TV. who knows!!!! I will keep you posted in the meantime feel free to email me if you have any questions or find out anything [email protected] Tracy Cincinnati, OH

Angie, I too have the exact same problem you have with HH Greg Mitts and Electro Sound and GE Ext Warranty. They have had our chasey for 3 months now. Before they took it that I had the bulb go out, i had the fans go out and then the blue screen and the shutting off of the TV. I have another call into them today I am ready to go to the media. I have waited long enough I want a new TV this week! We need to get with an atty and file a class action law suit for our money back. They are a rip off. We spent $3,000 on a TV 2 years ago and now we have nothing to show for it but a black box sitting in our living room collecting dust! Tracy Ross, Ohio

The way they are replacing parts, HOW could you NOT have a new TV?

I added a Vizio HD-LCD monitor to a sound system we have in the bedroom- maybe 2 or 3 years back. Time flies when you are having fun. My wife even knocked that LCD off of its perch on the high chest and that LCD still works fine. (But I am not sure Vizio TV's have as good a picture today.)
