this company was brought to my attention when my mother-in-law mentioned seeing an ad on craigslist. no deposit or money down. no credit check. just take over the mortgage payments. i checked out the ad. i immediately thought "i'd be surprised if this house is still available". then i started selecting the text from the ad to email to my wife and noticed there was extra white text and an 800# to call. that sent off a few flashing lights. i called the # listed, got a recording stating it was afterhours and to visit homeaccessusa.com. they also mentioned being regulated by state and local governments (which state? disarray? confusion?? heh). i checked the site. all i was able to do was sign up for their "package" that runs for $198. i didn't sign up of course as i know that most places that ask for money up front. chances are it's a scam. one last thing... i noticed one person pasted an ad statng a HOUSE in STUDIO CITY, CA was going for $750/mo. i know that area VERY well. $750/mo will get you a dumpster behind a circle k, not a house, and houses START at $450K fo something small. up to $1-2M. there's NO way a person who purchased a house in almost ANY part of the san fernando valley within the past 2-3 yrs would have ONLY $72K left to pay on it. if that were the case, they would've sold it.
