One of the prior mortgage companies in the legal process of this house closing was GSF Mortgage. Their mortgage broker or CMPS Dan Norris in tandem with is brother Doug Norris took money from my friends to allegedly set-up their escrow account. AT closing time when the paperwork was being done the money for the supposed escrow account magically never happened according to Dan's brother Doug and the money was stolen. To further aggravate the situation the closing contract stipulated that the potential homeowners could bring no legal action against anyone concerning the house for one year. According to the law that would give them only two days to even file a complaint and gather all the necessary paperwork together. The problem here is the homeowners also sign away their right to notification of any legal proceedings on their behalf or against them. This allows Homecomings Financial to move in as the legal note holder and then process a foreclosure before the client is even aware of the legal proceedings. The house is then sold and the legal owners are evicted losing all monies and rights against the criminals. Legal? Apparently so once the contracts been signed. Immoral? Absolutely and bad business practice to leave a family with 2 children completely homeless!
