We had originally mortgaged our home through New Century and our mortgage was taken over by homecomings. Homecomings was to honor all aspects of our original mortgage. I noticed that they did not pay our real estate taxes out of our escrow and called them. They assured me that the late penalty would not be taken out of our account, but they did, and then they increased our monthly payment by approximately $200. I asked to terminate the escrow account and we would pay our taxed on time ourselves. They agreed. Three months later, they cancelled that agreement. They then entered a repayment plan and we paid the first payment of that as agreed, two weeks later after that check cleared, they then cancelled that agreement also. Continuing to try to work with these people and them cancelling agreements at will, left us no choice but to put the home up for sale last July. It never sold and we are going to be forclosed on, on July 10, 2008. Please include us in any class action suits!! Please!!! They have ruined our credit and I want it fixed!!!

Did you make all your payments ontime?

When you enter into an agreement with many mortgage companies, you must make all the payments early or ontime. Not even 1 day late or they will cancel the agreement. When they agreed to stop collecting escrow did they get your payments ontime? If not, that would cause them to cancel that agreement. When you were on the repayment schedule, did you make that payment ontime? If not, they will cancel that agreement too. Also, you do not have a 10-15 day "grace period" either (there really isn't a grace period anymore). The payments must be posted on or before the 1st (if that is your due date) or any agreements will be cancelled.
