hound.com not able to cancel Pasadena, California
In my experience and to me, this company is a joke. The listings they have can be found elsewhere for free and it did not give me a leg up in my job search at all.
So after nearly a month I decided to cancel. The only way to cancel is to call a toll number during California time 9a-5p, (626) 243-1810. I called (I am on my third call as I fill out this report), the first time was at 2pm Phoenix, Arizona time. I was on hold for 16 minutes listening to things like "we welcome and appreciate your comments, one of our valued customers". Then the automated voice told me I was being transferred to customer service. After that I was told that there was a high call volume and that I should try back at another time. So I did try back at 3:59pm, Phoenix Arizona time. This time I was on hold for 20minutes and 46 seconds before I was again transferred to customer service, told that the call volume was high and that I should try back at another time then disconnected AGAIN!!!
The third and final time I called was at 4:21pm, Phoenix Arizona time. Again I was on hold for 20 minutes and 45 seconds before receiving the exact same treatment. So at this point I am calling my bank and either putting a block on this company or closing my account all together.
I am definitely NOT satisfied with Hound.com at all. Here are some of the things I heard while I was on hold to get any kind of customer service.
"our philosophy and goal is 100% customer service. We welcome and appreciate your comments...."
"Service isn't just a courtesy it's a commitment."
"We appreciate your patience in holding, our receptionist will be right with you."
I will definitely not be using this company again. I am also posting my experience on Facebook. This sounds like a class action law suit in the making to me.
