This is by far the worst Buffet I've ever been to. I went to the Imperial Buffet at 3120 Dixie Rd two days ago with my husband and 16 month old son. When we first arrived, which was 8:20PM, we were stopped by a short Asian lady (who turned out to be the manager) and told that the kitchen would stop sending out new food at 9:00PM and that the restaurant closes at 9:30. I said that would be fine. We sat down and began to eat. The food was a little stale but I didn't complain. Each time my husband or I would go back to get more food, we noticed nothing new was being sent out. We still did not This is by far the worst Buffet I've ever been to. I went to the Imperial Buffet at 3120 Dixie Rd two days ago (Feb 28 2013) with my wife and 16 month old son. Each time my wife or I would go back to get more food, we noticed nothing new was being sent out. We still did not complain. We ate what they had, we didn't really care, we both had a craving for some Chinese food. At 8:45, my wife spotted something strange in her noodles. She told me that she thinks there was either some string or a dead spider in her food. I told her that its probably nothing and to just get another plate. But she just kept staring at it, she wanted to know what it was (by the way, she's 4 months pregnant). I finally took a look and it seemed to be a spider.
I immediately called over the waiter and asked what it was and he said "let me call the manager". The manager came to our table (the same Asian lady that stopped us when we came in) and she looked at it and said, "Its not a spider". I asked her what it was and she responded by saying "I won't charge your son the $4.00 fee". I said "what? I didn't ask for anything, I just want to know what was in the food my pregnant wife was eating??" She said, "I don't know but its too cold to be a spider". At this point i admit, I began to get upset. She immediately assumed we were looking for a discount and refused to tell me what this was. As I'm speaking to her, the waiter comes to my table with the bill. I asked why he just gave me the bill, It's no where near 9:30PM. The manager said, "If you are finished, please pay this bill, I gave your child a discount". At this point Im MAD. I took a few pictures of this thing that was sitting in my wife's noodles and began to pack up. The lady said "you have to pay". I said that i never once mentioned anything about not paying, even though your essentially asking us to leaver early, there was something in our food that you cant explain and we are still hungry, I told her to stop mentioning money.
My voice was a little loud at this point and the restaurant was half full. She felt embarrassed so she looked at a few of the customers next to us and said "We get people like this in the past, they don't want to pay". Ok NOW IM REALLY MAD. She's trying to cover up the situation by saying "we don't want to pay". At this point I stand in front of the entire section I was in and tell everyone there (about 20-25 people) the following. "I'm sure some have overheard what's gone on here, I just want everyone to understand why we're leaving early. My wife found a spider in her noodles so please watch out". After saying this, the managers face went completely red and full of rage, she then yelled out "He don't want to pay, he don't want to pay". I then yelled out "Not only will I pay but I'll pay what ever they want to charge, charge me double, I don't care, just please don't serve us spiders"...Anyways, I followed the lady to the front, paid with my card and just before I left I asked for her name but she refused to give it to me, she said to call her "A". I told her that I would post this story online and she said "nothing will happen, you told everyone inside that you find spider and nobody leave, nobody care". I guess she's right, no on left. But I did leave and I'll never return and eventually they serve a spider to the wrong person, like someone from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. P.S. We ended up making a McDonald's run before going home, we were still that hungry.

What were you wanting them to do even if it is a spider? Your wife did not eat it and even if she did it is probably healthier for her then that buffet crap that sits out for lord knows how long? And let's be real I would think spiders are much better for her then McDonalds PLEase DO not FEED YOUR PREGNANT WIFE AND CHILDREN THAT GARBAGE!!!
