On September 12th my vacuum cleaner broke and I ventured to find a good deal on a new one over the internet. I came across the company calling themselves www.thesevacuumssuck.com. I chose a Eureka vacuum and was overjoyed that the company offered free shipping. Seeing as I have five cats, I needed my vacuum quickly. On the website's "guarantees" page, the company boasted that customers typically receive their vacuums within a week. Furthermore, after I ordered the vacuum, I received a confirmation email claiming that most orders usually ship "within 1-2 days".

I routinely checked my order to see when it shipped, as it was important to me that I received my vacuum in a timely manner. On September 19th, the website still reflected that my order had not shipped. First I emailed customer service and explained my situation, then I called the www.thesevacuumssuck.com customer service line and explained my situation and stated that I wanted to cancel my order. The woman over the phone was friendly and accommodating. She explained that she was going to call the warehouse and call me back if she could cancel the order. Approximately 15 minutes later, I got a call back and was told that my order had been cancelled.

Upon hearing this news, I ordered a new vacuum cleaner from Amazon.com (which came in three days). However, approximately six hours after being called and told that my order had been cancelled, I received an email from an individual named Warren Sager who was replying to my initial email. He informed that my order was not cancelled and that it had been shipped to my apartment.

Fast forward to a week later. It is now September 26th and I don't have my vacuum cleaner. In addition, I emailed Mr.Sager about returning my vacuum and explained the inconsistent and unruly service that I had experienced from www.thesevacuumssuck.com. Mr.Sager held hard and fast to a position that I was "not patient" (that's a direct quote from his email) and that my situation was not at all due to any error on the part of his company. Consequently, Mr.Sager maintained that I should bear the cost of the return shipping in addition to paying the cost of the shipping for the order initially being sent to my home. Moreover, www.thesevacuumssuck.com neglected to include my apartment number in the shipping line of the UPS label that accompanied my Eureka vacuum. Thus, I was forced to call UPS and resolve that situation, wasting an addition 30 minutes of my time.

My communication with Mr.Sager were laborious an unproductive. He progressively became ruder and more intolerant of my emails. It appeared as if he was not reading what I was writing because he never addressed the key issue in the affair, which was being provided with misleading information by agents of his company. I'd also like to point out that when I called in an attempt to circumvent the difficult and inflexible Mr.Sager, the customer service representative on the phone told me that Mr.Sager was the owner of the company and he was not going to change his position.

In all, my experience with www.thesevacuumssuck.com was highly unpleasant and upsetting. At no time was an olive branch extended or any admission of error made on the part of www.thesevacuumssuck.com. Instead, I was confronted with personal accusations and a clear sense that www.thesevacuumssuck.com was going to clutch on to every last dime from the transaction without regard for ethical business practices or an inkling of care for the concept of fair play.

All I can say is, do not do business with thesevacuumssuck.com or its affiliates.

Internet Retail Connection has been in business for 4 years and has thousands of very happy customers. We aren't happy when any customer isn't satisfied with our service. In this situation the order wasn't confirmed canceled as the customer stated. Since we ship orders out so quickly the order wasn't able to be canceled. We told the customer that we are happy to take the item back for a refund, they would just be responsible for the shipping cost. We did take the item back and gave customer a full refund of the purchase price. Customer didn't want to take responsibility for placing an order and then wanting to cancel the order soon after. I am sorry that customer didn't want to be responsible for the shipping cost. When we make a mistake we always take care of our mistake and pay the cost, but when it is the customers mistake we expect the same. Thank you.
