IPOWER, IPOWERWEB, Ipowerweb Failure to renew Doman and Technical, Internet
To all those who may be interested. We are a major web design company located in the Pacific Northwest. So that others may not think we are simply trying to obtain business through this site, we will not identify ourselves, however, IPower or Ipowerweb hosting and hosting services should be avoided at all costs. They consistently have failed to renew domains with our clients and then charge them $169.95 to pull it out of redemption.
When contacted to tell them about this situation when it happened to my personal domain and instructing them that I would pull all of my clients, their response was simple. OKAY!
This company used to be reputable and on top but now has fallen and are no longer competent in either their hosting services or technical support. I recently spent three weeks trying to have a clients website fixed only to find that their techs had created the problem by creating a temp file that was the issue. We had to troubleshoot and fix it for them. They were at a loss.
There are plenty of good hosting companies out there that are much more reasonbly priced, honor their commitments, affiliates, etc. Just search for hosting companies and check reputations but as a warning: AVOID IPOWER!
