Bought a Bull terrier from Irena in 2000 from Irena Deresh. Not once did she mention the dog would be arriving from Lithuania. The first I found out was when a German airport called me to make sure I would be there to pick up him up.
He was a very friendly puppy and great fun. He was always a bit hyper and hard to control, but he was great with my very young children and our cats. Very early he started to get various tumors. These were removed for several hundred dollars over time.
Also it took me 18-24 mo to finally receive the papers from Irena for him. She was constantly making excuses and ignoring me. They did finally come however.
The dog was over sized for a Bull Terrier and did not have proper color confirmation per AKC breeding standards. We did not care as we loved him.
When he was approximately 4.5 years old, he died of kidney failure. It was very painful for my family. I then read that this was a common ailment to the breed and lower quality breeders.
To this day we all miss him. I get sad every time I see a Target ad with their dog. He's missed so much with the kids he loved.
