I have done business with this repair shop for years spending thousands of dollars in repairs. they have always done good timely repairs on my vehicle which is why I always go back. The owner knows me by name as do several of his employees. Also note that I currently live in Flagstaff, AZ and drove the vehicle 100 miles to have it worked on at this shop (in Prescott) because they have done good work for me before. The story is as follows.

I had delivered my 2000 Toyota Tundra to this business on Tuesday December 26th to have the timing belt, a differential drop kit (I provided), new steering rack bushings (I provided), and both of my front CV axles repaired. They assured me that they would have the truck done by the end of the work day (5 pm).

I had emphasized to them when I dropped the vehicle off that I had to have the truck by 5 because I had to host a Christmas party (that I had spent several hundred dollars on) later on that evening in Flagstaff. The shop calls me around 3 in the afternoon to tell me that the truck will not be done because the parts were not in.

They had assured me when I dropped the vehicle off that they already had the parts! I asked them when it was going to be done and they said the parts shop would not have the CV axles until Thrusday. I was upset to say the least but decided to stay the night in Prescott and had my girlfriend drive down from Flagstaff to pick me up the following day.

Thursday comes and I gave the shop a call (11 AM). They again tell me the parts will be in at 2 PM. I call them that afternoon and once again I get the run around that Auto Zone is having problems getting the parts etc. I get upset but since there is nothing I can do over the phone I once again suck it up.

Long story short the same type of stories re-occur until the following Wednesday (I have been without a vehicle for over a week). At this point I call Autozone and demand that the parts arrive by the following day or else I will talk to the regional branch manager. Evidently this made a difference and finally the parts came on Thursday.

However I did find it unusual that I as the customer was using my own time to bang heads with Autozone when in reality it was the shops responsibility.

Autozone attempts to deliver the CV axles to the shop on Thursday and calls me saying they were closed. I attempt to call the shop several times that day and no answer.

Friday rolls around and I am steaming. Either way I decide to drive down to Prescott on Friday and will get my truck regardless of what condition it is in. I call the shop on the way down (9 AM), they tell me they have the axles and will get them in. They finally finish the truck around 1 PM, but procede to tell me that one of their employees told them that he put in the steering bushings and the diff drop kit.

Neither were done! He is a new employee there and I questioned why they didn't at least view his work after to see that it was satisfactory. At this point I just want to leave and sum this up to a bad experience. I pay the bill and go about my business.

Two days later I get under my truck to see how the axles are doing and one of them is leaking terribly. I call the shop and explain, they tell me they will get another axle and repair it for free. Even after the bad experience I did not have the funds to give another shop $300 to repair my axle.

Once again I drive down to Prescott once the shop gets the axle and have them repair it for me. When I dropped the truck off I notice my Ipod was on the floor so I picked it up and put it in the center console (my Dad was in the truck with me and saw me do this).

Upon giving the keys to the shop owner one of his employees asks me if I dated an Alicia (the same employee who lied to the owner about putting the drop kit and steering bushings in). I tell him I have never dated an Alicia but for some reason he seems convinced that I had. I just brushed it off and left the shop.

1 PM I arrive at the shop to pick up my truck. I talked a bit with the employee who had questioned me about this "Alicia". He said it was an ex of his and I asked him why he thought it was me. He explained why and I assured him that I have never dated his ex.

Anyhow, I finally leave the shop and head back to Flagstaff. About 20 minutes into my drive I reach into my center console to get my Ipod, its not there! I pull to the side of the road and tear the interior of my truck apart looking for it. No where! I call the shop owner and he tells me his employees are not liars and thieves.

I explained that this employee who had worked on my truck also lied to him about putting the other parts in my truck which he never did. At this point I call my Dad to see what he thinks I should do since he was there with me. He told me he would call the shop owner to see what is going on.

Apparently during the conversation with the shop owner, he got really hot tempered with my Dad claiming that no one was ever in the truck. My Dad asked how the truck could have been moved from the outside to inside the shop and the owner says "oh yeah, he was in there once". While waiting for the phone call back from my Dad I notice some greasy smudge marks on the center console button. My Dad calls me and lets me know how the conversation went.

At this point I decided that it would be in my best interest to call the shop owner and let him know that if he did not question his employees that I would be filing a police report. Shortly thereafter he calls me up and says he went through one of the employees tool boxes and found nothing. Doubt the employee would have put the Ipod in his tool box if he had taken it. It easily fits in a pocket unnoticeable.

Anyhow, I filed a police report and the officer talked with them. They gave him the same story they gave me but for some reason the employee was not there when the officer went down to the shop. He is going to make a second attempt today (January 12th) to talk with the employee and we will see what becomes of that.
