The former customer that filed this complaint is 100% untrue in calling our company a scam. They purchased our services to design one website. After the completion of the website they hired again to complete a second website in which they were again pleased. All site required a deposit and the remaining payment when the work was completed. They hired us to design a third site and this is where the problems began.
The customer paid a deposit to have the site designed. After presenting them with the finished site one of the partners stated that he was happy with the site and that the other partner was also. At that time I sent an invoice for the final payment in which the 2nd partner stated that there was a misunderstanding with her partner because she still isn't quite happy with the concept. So, we designed a completely 100% new site. After receiving the new site the 2nd partner stated that we were on the right track but again weren't quite happy with it. The 2nd partner stated that she would send us a PowerPoint presentation of what she wanted by the following week. Three weeks went by without us hearing for either partner. We contacted them requesting the presentation in which they said it was coming. Another two weeks went by and after contacting them again we finally received the presentation. So, without charging any extra fee at all we designed another completely new site.
We submitted the site to them. We contacted them a week later to see how they liked the site and we were told that they were so busy that they hadn't reviewed it yet. At this time payment is still due and they seem to be stalling. After contacting them several more times the 2nd partner stated that she liked what she had seen but hadn't reviewed the site in detail. Well, how long does it take to review a site. Several weeks went by of them not answering our emails. We requested payment and at that time they said that they weren't happy and wanted their money back for all of the sites we had designed, including the two that weren't in dispute. They even went as far as to open several tickets with PayPal in which every one was ruled in our favor.
J10 Media Designs went above and beyond by designing two extra sites for free of charge even thought we had to chase down the client for payment that we haven't received to this day. They are extremely unprofessional and have no business acumen to speak of.

My business partner and I obtained three websites from J10
Media Designs.
The first site came with a marketing package and a six month
monitoring and maintenance. It was roughly $1000.00. This site was paid for in
full.
The maintenance on the site was always spotty
Updates to the site not completed in a timely manner
The marketing services were never confirmed
The second site that was completed in June, came with a six
month monitoring and maintenance package, was also paid for in full and came up
to $250.00.
The maintenance on the site was always spotty
Updates to the site not completed in a timely manner
The third site was never completed and was also half paid
for and came up to roughly $700.00
While waiting for our third site, we sent him several leads
that turned into actual customers and promoted his company on a daily bases.
After three (long and drawn out) attempts to design a site
that we liked the designer asked us to finish paying for the site prior to it
being 100% approved, we refused to pay for the site until it was completed and
meet our standards. Then this seemly professional business became very
unprofessional and our nightmare began.
According to our contract if we were not 100% satisfied, we
were entitled to refund and we in return asked for one and still to date have
not received it. Our emails began being unreturned, the designers cell phone
service was interrupted and he was unable to be reached for about two weeks.
Once my business partner fired the designer the vindictive
side of him came out. He decided to retaliate by having site number two hosting
stop and then even called up GoDaddy and had the sites files destroyed. And
again the site was paid for in full and was not the site with the problem.
In June of this year we had asked, for hardcopy disc with
our sites, codes etc to be mailed to us. The designer initially refused to send
them but later on said that he would. We finally received the disk a week ago.
In continuation with his retaliation he cancelled other
accounts connected to site number two, changed passwords to other accounts as
well.
Site number three was the site with the issue but this
designer decided to use his power to destroy a site that he had been paid in
full for. Also, he used the hosting for
site three to promote another company (even though in his contract we own our
own hosting etc).
At this point we are obtaining the service of an attorney to
resolve this matter because all of our prior attempts to resolve it were
ignored.
After discussing our situation with other developers, we
also found out that almost all of this designers programs are free and the
major fluctuations in his prices were for his own gain. So where one site was
$1000 and the next was $250 and the third was $70, his actually total cost to
create the site was under $100 because he using tree online tools to build the
website that you can do yourself.
Beware of the business!!! If you have already done business
with him please make sure you received hard copies of all of your files,
usernames, passwords etc.
