Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Back in 2007 we went to our local WalMart where we saw that Jackson Hewitt had a booth set up and were doing taxes right there. We made an appointment and returned as agreed. We sat there in line waiting for our turn for about an hour. there was only one woman there doing the returns.

We thought she looked a little confused, but ended up thinking that she had to know what was going on or she wouldn't be there representing this company. We turned in to her all of our information, this was the first time we had used this company, after going over everything with her she ask if we could leave it with her so that she could have it done later for us to sign.

We returned the next day to sing the forms.

When we got there we had to wait again to see her, when we finally got up there we were told ok you are getting this much from federal and this much from the state, she did not go over anything with us. we were told that we would get a call when we got our check in.

when we returned to pick up our check a young man was there, we signed and went on our way thinking everything was fine until the IRS sent us a big bill for not claiming things on our return! Wow were we happy that we bought the gold plan insurance, it covers up to $5,000.

Well this is where it starts to get good, this wman who did our taxes, after we went over everything in detail with her DID NOT claim any of the items we provided for her, other than two of our w2 forms. Now we owe the IRS almost $900 thanks to this company. I first called a company located down town, but got no response from the person who handles the gold insurance.

I kept calling but was refused a direct phone number for this person, I was told that they don't have a phone number for this person and had to e-mail her with my information and sh would call me. I finally gave up and went to a Jackson Hewitt on my way to work with my 2006 tax return. I couldn't believe it, there she was that same lady who did our taxes. I told her what was going on and that we had bought there insurance, that was last week. I told her our problem due to her forgetting to imput all our information looked like we just decided to hell wit the IRS we just won't claim anything this year and end up in big trouble later. She couldn't believe her ears, she looked at it and said that her ID number was on it, but that she wouldn't do anything like this, I told her that she had ask us to leave it with her, so she said that maybe someone else did it , but she still said that her Id number was on it. She said that she would contact the people to call me.

We took our return to our local IRS office with the letter from them to see what happened. They could see that it was done by this company and that we had our information there and that Jackson Hewitt just didn't do it right.

As of now I have received one phone call from a woman Named Donna LaJett? I'm not sure about the last name due to not understanding her message.

I called back today and was told that it was the call center and that they would give her or someone the message. I waited and waited then called back again, I get the same run around. I waited again after being told that she would tell this person that it is urgent that she call me back soon, I told her that this was the second day off that I sat here waiting for a call from this Donna person, she said she will let her know. I never got a call back from her today.

WE are so upset because we trusted this company, and we have always been honest with our taxes because the last thing I wanted was the IRS on my back with their interest and add on until they have it so blown out of control. So far we are not happy with the customer service we paid almost $95 for, the gold coverage in case they mess up, well they really messed this one up for us.

As of today I still have not been able to talk to someone about this, the IRS says we can sue Jackson Hewitt for the damages. So far I'm not impressed with the customer service, I brought this to the company's attention almost a month ago and just got a call, still waiting.
