About 3 weeks ago we rescieved a phone call from a guy with a Jamaican accent calling himself James Monroe, he even had trouble pronouncing it, he said we had won 2nd place in the Mega Millions Monthly giveaway and won $3.9M, a 2016 Mercedes Benz, 1yr free insurance, 6 months free gas, AND a $270,000 CASH BONUS! All we needed to do to recieve our prize was go to our local: walmart, western union, or Money gram and pay the $229.16 registration fee.
After paying the registration fee we were ask where we wanted to recieve our prize when given the address 'James' said theyed be there in a couple hours, 2 hours later he called and said theyed been stoped by Homeland Security and needed $399.99 to pay for a requierd certificet stamp. We did not have the money at that time so we promised to call back after speaking with family about borrowing the needed money.
We've managed to stall them due to unsual work sceduals and other problems they continued to call daiely to check on our progress and are this calling as of April 11th 2016. After speaking with familiy we asked 'James' for written inforamtion and they sent an email with this information we knew this was a scam and 'James' is still calling for more money.
This is the email they sent, minus the images can't uploud or copy/paste them:
