Jan-pro of Richmond AKA HAwthorne Investments Discriminatory, rude, doesnt give breaks Richmond, Virginia
This company comes off as a great place to be employed. I was hired last week and started this past monday 4/22/13. Yesterday, 4/26, I received a call from the woman who hired me telling me I wasn't a good fit for the company.
She doesn't give proper breaks out, even though I worked part time, legally I was entitled to ONE 15 minute break, and she wouldn't even give me that. She was unhappy with the fact that I am a smoker, and wouldn't even let me go out for a smoke break, but would let others go out for them. Then to top it all off, she nitpicks about everything.
She sells franchises of the company, and it is also a huge rip off. After my first day I learned that once you buy a franchise package, they will make you buy accounts for 3, 4, and most of the time, 5 times the monthly billing rate. So if the monthly billing was 500, times that by 5 and there is the price YOU will be paying for this account. And you get none of it back. You sign a ridiculous contract with them that states you have to operate the franchise for 10 years.
They have unreal expectations, and like to waste peoples time. The president of the company is a 2 faced fake person. She brings you in for 2 interviews only to fire you after 4 days for no reason at all other than you are not a good fit for the company (really it was cause I am a smoker and I wore a jacket she didn't like). Nepotism is afoot in this company and its disgusting.
They dont take care of their employees, and they don't take good care of their customers either. If you have to get a commercial cleaning company, I recommend Janaking.
