On June 5,2017 I applied for a car loan at the JD Byrider in Fairfield,Ohio with the understanding from sales consultant that as I at the time didn't have any money to put down that I would return in 2-3 days with my deposit. Salesman said no worries and he would place vehicle on back lot for safe keeping til I came back with the money. Came back as promised and much to my surprise, horror my dream suv was sold the previous day. I was furious beyond limit at what happened and after no action from the gm at that location I decided to get in touch with the ceo of JD Byrider so he could hear how I was treated. Well unbeknownst to me mr. Steven Wedding no longer was with the company so I had to file a formal complaint with the customer service department. Was told it would take 7-10 business days to get a response..2 -3 weeks went by w/o a call and I called corporate again. Was told that an "accelerated complaint?" was the next step and it would then take 3-5 days to get a response. STILL NO CALL in response to my original negative incident nearly a month ago. Customer service rep told me there was nothing else he could do..all efforts were exhausted on his end! This is the absolute worst company to deal with in regards to customer service I've ever dealt with! I just want to be heard and acknowledged as a respected customer. What's my next step? To publicly shame the company? A phone call from anyone in corporate on my matter could have potentially cleared up this issue weeks ago!

Unreasonable expectation

First, I don't work for this company or any other dealership.

Your expectation that the dealership would hold it for you without a deposit is unreasonable. Having said that, it is probably a good thing that you didn't buy it. One of the worst dealerships to buy any vehicle is JD Byrider. They take advantage of people without money or knowledge on the vehicle purchasing process. JMO.  Read the complaints here on this website and other consumer complaint websites. Before you go to any dealership - learn the process to purchase.  The best way to buy is to get your financing lined up with a credit union (preferably) or a bank first.  Then go shopping. Bring the vehicle to a third party independent mechanic for inspection before you sign the contract. Do your research.  Good luck.
