I worked for Jones Express from 10/09-03/10 as owner operator.I ran hard for this company and wasnt making any money.I complained to driver manager, and he gave me more miles but still not making any money[.90 mile,loaded-emty with fuel surcharge one way.]
I worked til 01/10,and went home to do 09 taxes. This confirmed it I wasnt coming back, after being home for two weeks driver manager told me more miles, really busy.My mistake I went back.
I worked for new driver manager for 2 mos. complained I still wasnt making any money,.90 mile is not enough to run FTL. miles were there just putting it back in fuel tank none in my pocket.
I called corporate in Pa.[Jones Motor Group] and talked to a couple of the ladies back there and told them I was quitting and I agreed to give it one more week.Trip to Denver,I think.anyway,
I got back to Oxnard Ca. dropped trlr. and went to motel for 34 hr.reset[ I had less than 2 hrs. left on my log book] Driver manager called and said he had a load going to Texas.
I had no hours he told me that was all he had available and that I might as well go home if I couldnt take load.I had told him before that I needed to get home for a few days to do quarterly taxes.
I had turned down a load going to Utah because I burned more fuel than I made. This was Im assuming is what made BUBBA mad.I thought about it and decided Iwas done,I was going home and not coming back.
I called driver manager and told him I was going home and not coming back.He said ok,and I called corporate in Pa.and told them and asked what I needed to do to clear my lease. It was explained to me,I went home put everything in fed-ex and sent it to Pa.
I thought that was end of that,I did some things to my truck, went to work for another company, but after a couple weeks my truck feel apart and I had to sell it to a salvage yard.
Time to go back to being company driver, luckily after putting out numerous applications and not getting any responses,a recruiter asked me if I had checked my DAC REPORT lately.
WOW,what a shocker!!!!! JONES EXPRESS [BUBBA] had put out 4 BIG LIES in my report.1.excessive complaints,2.late pick up/delivery,3.quit under dispatch,4.unauthorized use of company funds,5 co.terminal-w/o notice!
1.I dont think there was ever a complaint made against me.at least no one ever told me if there was.
2.I was never late for pick up or delivery.all harbor freight loads had to be delivered on time or it would result in immediate dismissal as stated in orientation.
3.How can you quit under dispatch when you're at a motel, out of hours, and you're driver manager tells you to go home and do your taxes.
4.All money was loaded onto comdata, after you're dispatched,I was never dispatched,no money went on my card,so how did I use funds that were never there.
5.Im not sure exactly what 5 means but I did quit with out [proper] notice.I dont know about any one who is reading this but HOW MUCH NOTICE IS GIVEN IF YOU"RE FIRED? I called my driver manager and told him I quit.
Ive never been fired from any job in my entire life, and Ive had a lot of different jobs. I never had hardly any dealings with BUBBA all the time I worked for JONES EXPRESS,and for him to put out all these lies about me is a bunch of *#^%.
Anyone reading this if you go to work for JONES EXPRESS or if you work for them now,BEWARE OF BUBBA!!!!! Im not letting this go til my name and DAC REPORT are cleared,no matter what it takes.

I just want to get on here and clear a few things up. Bubba Wiliiams is no longer employed by Jones Motor or Jones Express. As part of the Jones Motor family, I would like to apolize on behalf of him. I do not know about the driver who originally posted the complaint. I am a newer employee and Jones Motor really is a delight to work for.
If you have any questions about Jones Express, feel free to contact me at [email protected].
Thank you,
Meghan

Hello:
My name is Bubba. I am the terminal manager, this driver talked about. Unfortunately in the entire report, he forgot one thing. THE FACTS. This driver refused several Shipper loads, Was rude to a Customer, and took a fuel advance without pulling the load. He took one load and went 275 miles out of route (went home) and suppossedly his truck broke down. I had to deadhead a driver there to pick up the load, which resulted in a service failure. He operated very poor equipment (His own), and expected to make a lot of money. He would have made a lot of money, if he had not refused loads, and had a decent truck. This driver is what we call a "Steering Wheel Holder" not a driver. Personally I think the trucking industry is better off without him. As far as the DAC Report. I will not change anything on it. Because if I did, then I would be lying. Mcdonalds is always hiring.
