I came down to south Florida to help my daughter purchase a car. After days and days of looking and testing driving we found one. 1996 VW Jetta very nice car so we thought. MY first waring was when I put down $ 500.00 to hold the car until the next day I get a reciept that says non refundable. Don't you tell a person that before you take there money not after. However not listening to myself we proceed on the next day. We were told the car came with a 30 day warranty once we got to the paper work that changed as well. Then of course there were and are problems with the car. My daughter has taken the car back 4 times each time they find nothing wrong. BS
I have her take the car to VW they tell us the PROBLEMS we go back to them with the documentaion and they oh well its AS IS. But you told us we had 30days they are crooks. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. This company has given us nothing but the run around the car is a lemon. If on;y one person reads this before they purchase I have done my job. Please learn from our mistake. Thes people are crooks no matter how many smiles don't trust them.

Think about this the right way ...you bought a car that is 15 years old , first bad move..even if you really liked the car don't you think you should have had the car checked by a mechanic prior to purchase, i happen to own a repair shop and 3-5 people a week come in with "im going to by another car" so as any decent mechanic would tell their customer "make sure you bring it here before you buy it" i would say 10% actually do that as for the 90% they end up with crap and then get mad at me when i tell them how much its going to cost to fix . as a consumer you need to understand that a car dealer knows as much about the car as the people selling you clothes at macy's ..they don't drive them ,make them, or fix them they are in the buisness of selling..most dealers buy from the auction run it through an inspection (runby the auction house) who "green" or "red" light the car if its a green light they take it wash it wax it and put it up for sale...if it red lights they take it to the mechanic or run it back through. i can't tell you how tired i am of hearing "scummy car dealer screwed me" he/she didn't know he/she sold you a p.o.s.for the same reason you pay to have your house inspected so you don't get screwed a consumer looking for a used car should do the same..pay to get checked and if the dealer will not allow for it walk away
