Just Brakes Ripoff Said that rear brakes were bad after 35,000, dealer said they were fine Aurora Colorado
I went to Just Brakes after the dealer wanted to charge 195 dollars for a front brake job. ( new pads and turn rotors ). I took my 03 Sunfire with 35,000 miles on it to just brakes for the 99 dollar deal. After the inspection they wanted to do 640.00 dollars worth of work. Saying that the whole rear end brake system needed to be replaced, along with the front. I agreed. Then I came home and my wife found this site and I read all of the bad things about just brakes. I then called the serviceman that inspected my car at the dealer, and he told me that nothing was wrong with the rear brakes and that they wouldn't need replaced for about another 100,000 miles. The dealer also informed me that Just Brakes uses the cheapest pads that cause excessive wear and tear on the brake system to get you to come back and spend more money. Lesson learned. Trust the dealer.

I took my almost new pickup in to them for the front rotor turning only and I had my own pads. They said it would be $99.99 but later called and lied and said everything was messed up and it would be like $900 to fix everything. I had always done my brakes myself for the last 20 years and told them NO WAY I was going to pay that mcuh as I could replace everything in the brake system for that mcuh myself. So they lowered the price to around $230 now. I know for a fact that the back brake on Nissan Frontier pickups do not need doing for at least 150,000 miles or longer. They said the pads were special order and would be $79.99 extra and I am like I have my own $18 semi-metallic brake pads right here but they said no they would put better ones on it so they did the job and 3 months later my brake pads are gone and I need new brake pads again. When I use the semi-metallic pads I can go for 10 months to a year or more before they wear down to nothing. So yes Just Brakes is a RIP OFF COMPANY as they lie to everyone that comes through there doors.I can do better than they can for about $20 for pads inthe front and leave the rear alone. Calipers and wheel cylinders do not need to be replaced or rebuilt either all the time. That only happens if you have like over 180,000 miles on your vehicle usually.So beware of these thiefs and go some place else unless you want to be back 2 or 4 times a year to get ripped off again and again by them.
