I am representing http://www.justaboutsavingmoney.com/ to respond to complaints brought upon our company. We have gotten inquiries about these complaints so we feel it necessary to respond to them.
In response to "john from matthews, North Carolina from Dec. 8th, 2012:
Luckily this customer put his name and where he is from so I know exactly who this customer was. He ordered about a month before Christmas back in 2012 and he was aware there was a wait for the box. After he was informed his set top box was shipped he then cancelled his check so when he received his set top cable box, a few days later the money was taken out of our business account.
When he got his unit he then complained to us that it didn't work and needed help to get it activated. When we told him we needed to call his cable company to get it going his exact response was "Why do I have to do that?". He then continued on calling us a "scam" and said he would do everything he could to destroy our reputation. Long story short, we never even had a chance to help him get his box activated properly because he refused to call his cable company so we don't even know if he had cable in the first place.
Essentially, he felt like he got scammed because he was trying to scam his cable company out of free television and couldn't. Our cable boxes are soley for the purpose of replacing your rental box from your cable company to save you up to $20 a month on each rental box and this customer had no interest in that at all. In the end this customer got all of his money back AND a free box on top of that and the fact that he thinks he got scammed is mind boggling.
Also, if there are new potential customers out there that would like to verify this story feel free to contact us and ask us to send you copies of emails with this customer and we will gladly do so.
