Is it possible that you're just a creep? "Subtle and unpleasant tactics" as you put it, might be a reasonable way of dealing with someone who is creeping you out.

Do you ever...

1. Go into the shop looking disheveled and with an angry look on your face, go immediately to the bathroom, emerge, then sit down with no indication that you're going to buy anything?

2. Still being the guy from #1, do you then ask for the wi-fi password? Do you get weird about it when they remind you that you need to buy something?

3. Demand optimal service and yet never, ever tip?

4. Ask to pay on a tab even though nobody has ever seen you before? Do you get argumentative and claim so-and-so can vouch for you?

5. Say bizarre things, smell really bad, or are drunk all the time?

Anyone I've seen get a lukewarm greeting at Kerouac has fit into one or all of these categories. Does any of this sound familiar? If not, perhaps you've created a whole new category of creep all by yourself?

* Is wasting time in posting this lie in lieu to my report: As it seems to be a way to help this so called cafe' from losing face as well as preventing them from losing customers {Of any race, any color}
*  As mentioned in my report regarding the cafe', it does see a sporatic stream of those who of are of various races & colors, but the vast majority are o.s.u. students.... Be they american, exchange students, or on a "permit", from their country, but they are mainly students of the o.s.u. campus:
Seeing, as to how, the collegic students of the area have much power & say as to how the campus area is ran, what anglo colored merchant in their right mind would want to risk losing customers, {any further} of all races, all colors, if it is known that they discriminate against those whom are not anglo colored patrons of the cafe'?.... Not to mentioned being embarrassed, over not allowing those of various races & colors to patronize such a place..... As mentioned, sublte abuses are used toward those who are black american customers that try to patronize the cafe'": So the brain-
washed idea that "doright" is trying to imply, that kefe' kerouac, is a ideal place where all can come & sing,"Kumbayah", is a lie..... The cafe does engages in subtle tactics toward black {american} males, so many will not return...... Taun & Mike, see to that.........
* This "doright", has a warpped prespective regarding my report on kafe' kerouac: This creatures says that I have done the wrong thing in posting the names of those whom I feel are being discriminatory toward black {american} males of the cafe', which makes no sense.... If  "it", had any intelligence, it would know, names, dates, phone numbers, as well as location(s), [of the business in question] are the heart of fililng a report on this site: How could "it", expect anyone to do any less, is beyond me.... While narrow skinney assed TAUN, doesn't yell, she will do some subtle unpleasant things to you, (if you're a black male patron), to make you feel unwelcomed, not to mention, telling you in a sublime way, that your not welcomed there..... Do not be easily conned by the post of 'doright': I feel that I was a mannerly as I could be to staff & patrons there, it's just that the courtesies, weren't returned, nor are black males very welcomed there..... Personal experience has shown me such....

I'm a regular at Kerouac Kafe and accidentally found this while trying to get their store hours. The shop is about as multicultural as it gets. It's a quiet environment (the evenings get a little livelier) and they ask that you buy something before using the wi-fi. There are whites, blacks, browns, yellows; you name it. I'm there all the time and have never seen anyone who was well behaved be turned away or mistreated. The evil "barmaid" is the sort of person that you'd have a hard time even picturing raising her voice at someone. It's unfortunate that the original poster attempted to use real names.
