I bought the Kstyler in March 08, I got the product a month and a half later, I used it 5 times and then it just quit working. When I called the company they emailed me a return shipping label, and I sent it back to them a week late.
I was told that it would take 4 weeks to send me a replacement, after four weeks I had still not recieved it. I called the company and was told by a very rude customer service rep, that my account had been frozen due to a remaining balance of $39.99, and until his was paid I would not get a replacment.
The cust serv rep gave me the number of thier collection company and was old to call them, I tried to explain to her that I was not comfortable paying for a product that had broke and that I didn't have, she rudely stated that she would not help me and to call the collections, and hung up on me.
As you could guess I instantly got angry for her hanging up on me, but called the collection company anyway. They informed me of my balance of 39.99, and stated I needed to pay this right away. I again tried to explain that I did not have the product, and did not want to pay for something I didn't have.
After several months of arguing with both companies and multiple threats from both sides, I fially gave up and paid the balance. Once paid I called Kstyler and they againvery rudely stated that I had to wait until the collection company cleared my account, before they sent me a new styler. to make this horrible experience I had short, it is now October and I have called once a week every week, since June and still can't get this resolved.
Recently one cust. serv. rep ( I believe her name was melissa or michelle) finally tried to help me and placed a three way call to the collection company, the rep there stated that my account had been paid in full for quite some time, and could be cleared, the rep from Kstyler stated that she needed them to fax her this confirmation so she could send me the product, the collection company said they would.
You guessed it I call every day, and they still have not rec. the fax and of course there is nothing they can do about it. I have been given the run around for months on end now from both ends, and am extremely angry!
I have been given confirmation codes, reference numbers you name it and still nothing, I have paid alot of money and for what?! to get the run around, and get hung up on and talked very rude to, and never once have I ever been able to speak with a supervisor from either company, every time I have asked, I have been told that the supervisor is not available or out of the office.
Since my very long horrible experience has begun, I have read many, many bad reviews all very simular if not exact as mine, on other web sites. I wish I had known before I bought it. The saddest part, of all this is that when it worked, I loved the styler it woked great on my hair.
Enough is enough this company needs to be shut down, no one should have to endure the horrible treatment that I have.
