Krome Models Crooks, Dishonest, Unprofessional, Frauds New York City New York Bamboozled, Hood winked, Ripped Off, Frauds Artists & Poor People Skilled Krome Models - Rob Lochner - Jeff Shaw New York New York
Everyone should be warned about this so-called model agency in New YOrk City called Krome Model ran by Rob Lochner and Jeff Shaw
I booked a job with them in 2005 and after numerous calls to them I finally get a call in 2006 to have a full conversation regarding money owed to me from the job. They complained that I was "bothering" them consistantly about a lousy $100.00. Ironically, I was owed $240.00 and not $100.00 like they said. I asked how they arrived at $100.00 and he went on to explain erronious charges such as $100.00 toward a web page never approved by me, soft ware up grade to their system. $70.00 went to messanger charges for messengering composite cards. This is traditionaly done by reputable agencies when sending out portfolios not composite cards. And I don't understand why my paycheck pays for your office soft ware up grades. The balance went in to some bogous individual model account that I had not access to.
I never gave gaurdianship or full power of attorney over my money earned with this agency outside of their 20%. The $240.00 is rightlyfully mine and they refuse to give it to me. I was on a trial basis with this agency until the director Rob Lochner could make time to meet with myself and Jeff Shaw his assistant who interviewed me to make a final decission on if I were the right type to represent the agency. Jeff said in the meantime he would send me out should something come in that suits my look. I left him two composite cards to show Rob Lochner, so I don't see how messanger fee's in the amount stated by him came to thie total. If you try to explain your side of what you believe are rightfully yours they start yelling at you like kids. They don't want to hear what you say. They essentially say it's their way or hit the high way. The refuse to listen to you and refuse to resolves any issues you are having.
If you google this agency there are tons of complaints about this guy and the agency. There are tons of blog spot as well that detail his thievery against models salaries.
I am trying to get what salary is rightfully mine from this job. I know it is not a lot, however, it is the principal and ethics of this situation-NOT the money. I have sought help from BBB, FTC,and The Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. All have said the amount is not worth going after in ratio of time required to do so. Or in BBB, FTC case they do not come between employeer and employee disputes unless there are multiple complaints against them. Please assist in exposing these guys and perhaps getting everyones money back to the rightfull owners. These guys are not in anyones best interest and are misleading.
