L.A. Fitness Will not acknowledge we cancelled our membership. Irvine California
My husband and I joined L.A. Fitness and then moved to an area where there was not a facility. We went in and asked the girl at the desk how to stop our membership. She told us to print out a form on the internet and if we sent it in right away our membership would be cancelled with no further charges. We did as we were told. They continuted to take money out of the bank account and credit card. We took those options away from them and they bagan calling and sending bills. Then we were told we had not gotten the paperwork in early enough, still owed for another month, then my husband's acct had not been cancelled and we owed money for him, and on and on. It is a total rip off and scam. They are holding us hostage for money we do not owe them. I have called several times, left messages and no one will talk to me on the phone or return calls. We owe nothing and have overpayed them. I am going to report them to the Attorney General's office and Better Business Bureau and see if that helps. We now live in Montana and this has been going on for six months! Do not join..
