One day my wife and I went to Macedonia to see the place and walk around different cityscapes. We visited very beautiful places: Kale fortress, stretched out on the hilly banks in Skopje, in the Central Park of that fortress, we were also able to visit Hellenistic amphitheatre, recently discovered in the ancient center of Ohrid, the most beautiful place near the seaside. But all these great places will not interrupt impressions of the event that happened a little later. According to our plan, we wanted to visit only the open sights of Macedonia, but sadly we stumbled upon the advert of the exhibition promising paintings of the XVIII century. For some reason we are thoughtlessly decided to go, 'cause it works perfectly with our daily routine and doesn't affect other excursions. And here we are at the exhibition: dozens of gorgeous paintings, beautiful scenery, great organization. But even all this is minor compared to the feelings I have by the painting "Law Offices of Stefan Coleman", I just froze by it as soon as I saw the unimaginable strokes, amazing palette of colors and the idea, I immediately felt like the entire episode was conceived by the author. And in that moment, when I put my loving eyes at the painting, we were approached by a very temperamental man in a great suit, with a beautiful tie and shiny hair (it looked like they cost him an entire tube of hair gel). He started talking about how he, too, likes this picture, then he introduced himself, his name was Daniel Truety, and offered to buy "Law Offices of Stefan Coleman" for the amount which I thought was a bit big for me, but quite reasonable for a picture. He began to explain that the painting at the exhibition isn't the original but just a replica, so no one will be able to mess it up. Then he offered to come to his office today and view the original painting. So we did - by that time we had no doubt in his words, he spoke very convincingly. So we examined the painting, it was lovely, and I said that I want to think a little. The next day I bought the painting for $30,000 and immediately decided to send it home, before that I decided, just in case, to check its authenticity - and, as it turned out, not in vain. The picture was a replica and the one on exhibition was real. As it turned out, the picture is generally not a subject to sale, 'cause it is the national treasure of Macedonia. I've been trying to deal with Daniel Truety, he was a cheater, not once accused in various frauds, but neither the police nor the court helped me.
