Avoid Legend Design and Construction, they will never complete what they started. It took them 9 months to do what other contractors stated would take two weeks and yet still have not finished. If you are prepared to have your yard a mess for 3/4s of a year and then have sub-par work with no warranty, use Legend. Sure Dale Simons will tell you there is a lifetime warranty but just try to get them to do any warranty work especially since they can't even finish what they started. They have yet to complete work on my project and have yet to fix the warranty issues of which the largest is the drainage issue that they created in my backyard. Trust me, if Dale is speaking then he is lying! He will tell you that they have a licensed electrician on staff but will ask you to have the final inspection before electrical because they don't put electrical on the permit because they DO NOT have a licensed electrical contractor.
Ask for references - Dale will be glad to provide you with job sites that he supposedly completed but you won't get real people to talk too because everyone is so irritated that they will not give a reference. Ask about pending lawsuits and legal action against Dale Simons and Legend Construction as there is a lot. He will threaten a mechanics lien on your property if you try to cancel the contract.
This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with any contractor which is compounded by the fact that they wasted 9 months of my time and still did not complete the job. I have cracked concrete, warped wood and a huge drainage issue thanks to these guys. I regret the day weever crossed paths with these guys. Complete waste of time for sub-par work that never gets completed. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - AVOID LEGEND DESIGN AND CONSTRUCT and especially DALE SIMONS!
