Lehmans Lakeside RV Resort Karen Lehman Lehmans Lakeside RV Resort in Marengo IL Is Fraudulant And Deceptive. Do Not Patronize This RV Hole Marengo, Illinois
Do not bother wasting your time with Lehmans Lakeside RV Resort in Marengo IL. It is managed by a woman by the name of Karen Lehman Gaeta. She is the daughter of the owners who currently reside in Florida and she lives on the property and runs the day to day operations of the facility. As a former long time resident I have witnessed and overheard firsthand, many grievous acts of discrimination and harassment by Karen in regards to seasonal and full time residents of this community. Several years ago before her parents retired, Lehmans RV Resort used to be such a wonderful and inviting place to spend the weekends, always filled to capacity on most weekends and a wonderful place to make friends. When her parents retired and moved to Florida, an Orwellian type of atmosphere took over and it has since driven many people who have been here for years into leaving the Park for good.
Over the last several seasons I have witnessed literally dozens of people engaged in a heated argument with Karen regarding her refusal to return security deposits to cheating people on their electric bills.
Our last season was 2012 and we couldn't wait to leave Lehmans for the simple fact that Karen has alienated almost every single resident there and that is the beginning. We have witnessed Karen driving through the park and just harass people for no reason at all. So many people have left the park that it is a virtual ghost town now. Just stop by sometime and ask ANY person there what their opinion of Lehmans and Karen Lehman is , and find out the truth for yourself. They will tell you.
I have a friend who lives there full time and she recently discovered that Lehmans charges 17 cents per kilowatt hour for electricity on a commercial rate when in fact they are paying only 7cents per kilowatt hour. They are tripling the cost of her electric bill. It costs this poor woman more for electricity for a 120 square foot trailer, than it does for my 3600 square foot home.
And they can never figure out whey they are loosing business and why the residents are leaving in a mass exodus never to return.
My advice is to stay away from Lehmans Lakeside RV Resort. There are much better places just down the road and you wont have the problems or the drama of a petty, overbearing and cheating management trying to manipulate and extort your last dollar from you, for no other reason than the simple fact is they think they deserve your last dollar more than you do.
