We Purchased a Female Chocolate Lab for $1500.00 in November 2015. Desiree wrote in our contract that we could have full registration rights if we provide the clear OFA certification for our dog. We provided the completed and clear testing she requested in February 2017. I did not hear back from her for a month so I texted again, this time no response. She quit answering texts until I brought up a Lawyer, she responded finally and said she is going to hold up her end of our contract, give her a little bit cause she had a Parvo outbreak in her kennels. After 2 weeks of not hearing from her I texted daily. I called from a different number and she anwered my call, she said she was waiting on the paperwork from the AKC, this can be printed out online, I told her I have it and she said fax it over and she will fill it out and fax back that day. Needless to say, I still have not heard back from her. I have texted 3 or 4 times since then with no response. This lady is a puppy mill, steer clear!! When we picked up our pup she had 2 litters in the kitchen that were days apart, 1 mom was not producing milk and that went unnoticed for 2 days. Desiree then switched the pups to the mom who was producing so that poor mom was feeding 2 litters. She has anywhere from 2 to 4 litters of labs at a time and not enough time to care for them properly.

Disclaimer: We love our Labrador we purchased from Desiree Ortiz, it may have taken a while but she has fulfilled her contract with us. I have vistited her kennels and they are clean and very well taken care of. Her puppies have a great temperment and come from even better backgrounds.
