I used to work for Lund and let me tell you, of all the car dealers- they're the best at what customer service can offer their clients. They dont get paid until your deal is financed, so the only one you have to blame is yourself for not paying your bills on time. You had $30,000 in cash, why didnt you get a car a little less flashy and pay the rest of your bills with the rest? Your decision making seems a little irresponsible. I totally understand the bank's hesitation in accepting your loan.

Just to let you know, your credit isn't as dented as you think. The credit reporting agencies have recently changed how they handle inquiries for larger ticket items like car loans and mortgages. Now you may have as many inquiries as you like within a 14 day period for any one application. This was changed due to consumers being more likely to shop for a better interest rate from various lenders rather than settle for the first deal they're given. In your situation this is pretty cold comfort, as the inquiries for your Hummer loan are over a 14 day period. However, I have a feeling were you to contact the credit reporting agencies and explain the situation, they would be willing to assist you in getting your score back up. Take a look in your phone book, or Google, and get the numbers for Trans Union, Equifax, and Experian and give them a call. Likely they'll request you to write a letter yourself explaining the situation. It would also help if you had a letter from the dealership explaining why they had to go to so many different lenders. More than likely they'll be willing to write a letter for you, you did give them your business after all. And Stick? Yet again, what part of your posts had anything to do with this guy's problem, or offer him some kind of solution? You ranted about radio, TV, and newspapers and how much car guys suck, but you never offered this man one option to help him. You call yourself an advocate, but you really don't help anyone. Many of the things you say about car dealerships are true, but what solutions are you offering? And as for a 7 percent rate spread, that's pretty much gone the way of the dodo. Most banks limit the participation to 2 to 3 percent. You remind me of every disgruntled ex-car salesman I've ever met, behind on the times and bitter about not being successful. Reputable car dealerships do not do the things you suggest we all do every day of the week. Sure we're here to make a profit, but it's a service like any other- if you take advantage of people eventually word gets out and people stop doing business with you. The car business has changed- it's a service industry now, not a smoke and mirrors show. The guys still trying to do business like it was in the 80's are slowly being weeded out, and a more modern approach is being assumed by dealers. Sites like Ripoffreport.com are the reason for this, and for that, I personally appreciate all the advocates do. But you're going to have to come up with some solutions for people rather than your usual cut and paste rhetoric if you're going to continue 'helping' people. Spam emailing radio staions doesn't do anything, but actually educating consumers will. I suggest you take a look at your intentions and your actions and see if they're both on the same track.

Richard you would think that a big car dealer like Lund would hire F&I people that would know what it takes to get a car loan done the first time. Most F&I clowns don't care what happens to a car buyers credit score. The only thing that most F&I clowns care about is how much backend juice they can make and how much over price extras they can sell everybody that slides into the BOX! Let's say that a car dealer gets you to sign a contract with a 21% and they get the bank to do the deal with a buy rate at 14%, guess who gets the 7% difference? The diff goes to the dealer. it's called backend JUICE! No F&I clown will ever show the car buyer what the dealer got the bank to do the loan at. The dealer will only show you what you have to pay. They will never show you what goes into their pockets. The difference from what you pay and what they got the lender to give is called the spread. I tell car buyers to never trust F&I people, and never buy a car from a sales person that you like. Buying anything from a person that you like will kill your negotiating ability fast. If you buy from someone you like, you put yourself in what I call the UCZ "Unsafe Comfort Zone" Most car dealers train their sales people and their F&I clowns to go DEEP for every dime. Credit unions will never try to sell you a Desert Protection Package, or try to sell you an over price extended warranty. They will never try to sell you window etching, nor will they run your credit through a s**t load of credit inquires. Credit unions will only pull your credit report once. Shame car dealers do not pull it once! It's a shame that I have not seen one car manufacture push their car dealers to clean up their act and try to become true professionals. Maybe they to only care about the buck. Now Richard make about 5 payments on your new Over Priced SUV and then contact your lender and ask for a copy of the credit application that they got from your dealer. Sometimes car buyers get a big fat surprise once they get a copy of their credit application in the mail. Like to know more of what I am talking about Richard? Go read the two below Rip Off Reports and look at all of the Pic's that I posted in this below Rip Off Report. When you get to this below Rip Off Report make sure you look at the 2nd PIC and you will see some high lighted areas that were changed by the car dealer's employee behind the car Buyer's back. Take a good look at the 3rd PIC real good. The F&I Clown had the car buyer sign 4 car buying contracts. http://www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff52158.htm You might want to read this rip Off Report also. The thing that really angers me most is that NO MEDIA has the back bone to expose fraud in the auto industry. If a mortgage broker took it upon themselves to play with a home Buyer's credit app and the media found out about it they would be all over it in a big way, calling it BANKING FRAUD. But it a car dealer gets caught doing this kind of FRAUD the media will look the other way because they LOVE the car dealers advertising money. www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff143416.htm Want my thoughts on the media? Read on my fellow American and then post your thoughts. Mike I don't know if you know how many Advocates are here at Ripoffreport.com I am one of many that like to help people who feel that they have been "BENT OVER" if you will. It is my calling to help inform car buyers what goes on in the auto industry. Most all media will never I Repeat NEVER expose auto dealer Rip off's and scams. I take great pride in doing the best I can to help car buyers. Most car buyers have no idea where to look for possible information that will help them when doing business with people in the auto industry. I blame that on your local media. TV stations, Newspapers and what one would call TALK RADIO. Email or call all of these "Microphone MUTTS" at 550 KFYI and ask them why they will not let car buyers AIR THEIR car dealer troubles LIVE on 550 KFYI. Use the following contacts and let them HAVE IT for not airing shows about scams in the auto industry. Ask these Microphone Mutts if they will have a day only devoted to callers that are willing to tell all of their car buying horror stories! Post their replies on this Report. I would love to read them. Bruce Jacobs is on from 5AM till 8AM. You can email him at [email protected] Tom and Austin are both on at the same time and their email addresses are [email protected] and [email protected] They are both on from 4PM till 7PM Joe Crummey is on from 7PM to 10 PM. Email him at [email protected] Trust me they will not chat "Live on the AIR" about car dealer Rip Offs and scams! They say their station is a "TALK RADIO" Station. So let us talk! Microphone Mutts will never expose the auto industry. They will say some crap like, It's boring or no body wants to talk about car buying scams. Trust me everybody knows of a car dealer that they HATE! Car buyers are not informed of car dealer Rip Offs or scams because it sure seems to me that advertising money is much more important to the media then informing consumers of Rip Offs in the auto industry. By the way thanks for taking the time to file a Rip Off Report. It helps others learn what others have to go through. I hope you find my posting helpful or informative. This is a reminder to all that love what this web site stands for. I know for a fact that the Editor and many others do tons of work to make sure that you all are very informed consumers. That being said if you could make any size of a donation to help support a web site that is truly out to protect, inform and help you as a consumer it would greatly be appreciated. All donations are put to use to improve www.ripoffreport.com's ability to serve you better. Use this below URL www.badbusinessbureau.com/donations.asp One last question for you Richard. I hope the dealer has informed you of all of the recalls that apply to your Over priced SUV. Ask your sales person if he or she knows of any recalls on your SUV. Trust me there are a few. But sales people refuse to tell buyers about factory recalls before the sale, might kill the sale! I hope you find me informative!

They finally pushed my loan through with 15 inquiries on my credit that will last for 2 years my credit score dropped over 50 points because they kept running me through big banks when they knew through experience that they wouldnt take me ..then talked me into putting more money down and then finally getting the loan through centrix??Andrew Lucas helped the situation along as he got the deal done but all in all i will not ever buy anythin again from this company as they set me back at least 2 years in getting my credit score back to at least where it was before they ran the heck out of it. I gave them my info ahead of time 2 days before i went back to buy that should have given them plenty of time to find a loan for me as my salesman called me back and said confidently come in we can finance u no problem...well they did after 15 attempts and a bruised credit score later

Maybe it is just me but..........if you are having problems getting finance on this, it may be a good thing, walk away. $67,000 for a gas sucking hummer????? And it sounds like your credit may not be that good to begin with??? Why in the world does anyone need to spend this much on a stupid truck??? It would be different if you walked in and could pay cash, still stupid but at least you are not borrowing to the limit. Take your $30k deposit and buy a very nice regular gas sucking truck, at least you won't have to worry about making payments AND/OR putting fuel in it. Just doesn't sound like a good move. Ok off my soapbox now. Hope you don't come back on here in a few months complaining about what happens when you miss a few payments.

yesterday, on 4-27-05 i went to lund cadillac per andrew lucas the internet sales manager he made another deal with me where he advised me to put another 10,000 down for a total of 40,000 and that the balance of 27,000 plus he felt confident with the extra down payment the loan will go through.I did receive an email stating a full refund if they have exausted all their means to get the loan they will refund my downpayment. I resigned another contract stating the new downpayment agreement... signing a promisary note claiming i will pay the additional 10,000 by may 10th he said if i cant get financed by may 10th that that is the date he wont go beyond that although im a little worried about this.... he told me personally in his office if i wont go through the bank then i would have to return the car then and get a refund of the full downpayment. I just want a fair deal and be treated the right way. I will post an update and if lund gets the loan through or follow their word then i will report that and i will update positive results but im still patiently waiting doing everything that they ask for paper work etc....

I can just see it now. A car dealer's nightmare. Here he has a $30,000 down payment and he can't find a lender. The clock's ticking, the customer has the vehicle, the mileage is adding up, the lender's list is running out, oh what's a car dealer to do? It's not right, it isn't fair. The customer just didn't fall off the turnip truck, he won't stand to get dicked over by a high interest rate, we can't pull that co-signer BS. If we try and screw him over, he probably has a meaner attorney then ours'. Oh, what's a car dealer to do. God forbid we have to give him his money back.

Richard The below is what I as a Rip Off Consumer Advocate posted on a car buyer's rip Off Report. But, before you read the below go vist this Rip Off Report and look how this car buyer got his down payment back. Look at all four pictures real good, Hope they make you think! Trust me if Lund thinks you will do what the guy did in this Rip Off Report, You will get your money back FAST! www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff138219.htm Now read this below. I hope it helps you. We all know that car dealers know that Newspapers,TV news stations and Radio stations will never expose the dirty Rip Offs in the auto industry. That would lead you to believe they are in bed together. Let's face it,if you get ripped OFF they both gain from it. I mean let's face it, most of your media gets most of their income from car dealers. So they are not going to bite the big fat dirty hands that feed them. If not for advertising money most if not all of your "Media Mutts" would not have a job! I am willing to bet that the AZ Republic gets about $1,400,000 Million a month just from car dealers. Do you think they would ever do a insider story on car dealer's scams? FAT CHANCE my Brotha! I tryed to get 3TV here in Phoenix to air a hot insider story about a scam that many new car dealers are doing and PUFFER Scott said "its not news they can use" Maybe One day I will post some recordings so you can hear what 3TV did not want the public to hear. The recordings will inform you all in a big way. 3TV's motto should be "The place that hides more Stuff" If a car buyer that got Ripped Off by a car dealer wants to get even with a car dealer here is the way to do it. How does most car buyers hear about car dealers? Advertisements! So if a radio station led a car buyer to a car dealer that bent the car buyer OVER, Why not expose the Radio station that takes money from car dealers that Rip Off car buyers. If a TV station, radio station or newspaper that likes BIG $$$$$ from car dealers starts getting mentioned in the Rip Off Reports maybe they will think twice about taking money from car dealers that have so many Rip Off reports. Then maybe your favorite station would have more time to play the tunes you want to hear instead of all of the misleading car dealer CRAP! In short, EXPOSE all involved, The form of media that lead you to the dealer and expose the dealer that BENT YOU OVER. The Media helps car dealers take your money. Most consumers don't look at it this way. The Rip Off starts long before you get to the dealer. Maybe car dealer advertising money will not look so good to the media if they get mentioned in the Rip Off Reports just like the car dealers. I mean it's not hard to file a Rip Off Report on a Radio station, nor is it hard to file a Rip Off Report on a newspaper or a TV station. Maybe their sales department will think twice about car dealer advertising money after they get mentioned in the Rip Off Reports. If you are a car buyer that got bent over ask yourself one question. How did you hear about the car dealer that Ripped you OFF? Was it your favorite radio station or was it your favorite TV station, or maybe it was your favoite bird cage liner. Don't you think they need to be mentioned in your Rip Off Report? I mean they brought you to the "SCENE of the SLIME"! If it was not for the advertisements you might have picked a different car dealer. Think about this for a second. You drive to work on a Friday and you have your favorite radio station on. You hear this real fast "Jibber Jabber" about some car dealer having some one time special Sale. Let's break down the word sale! One and all should know that the word SALE means nothing in todays business world. It's only a tool used to get your attention and to get your pants down, I mean Guard down! S Suckers A are L loose & E easy You know you want to believe what you heard because you love your favorite radio station. You get to talk to your favorte DJ when he or she will pick up the GD PHONE so you can make a request. You want to feel and believe "It's all GOOD" At the end of the commercial some SPEED READER reads off the disclaimer and the radio station dumps a bunch of jive music on top of it so you can't understand a DAMM word. They then say see dealer for details. You go to the dealer and WHAMM! you get bent over. WHO brought you to the dealer BABY? The Radio station! We as consumers need to be willing to EXPOSE all that are involved in the Rip Off. Never forget that all car dealer Rip Offs start long before the car buyer gets to the car dealer. Just listen to your next car dealer advertisment on your favorite radio station! Now who loves YA BABY. Your favorite radio station or ripoffreport.com? LOL :) By the way Richard you need to do some research on the BBB on this web site.
