If a contractor is working on your property, then it is YOUR responsibility to have someone there to monitor their activities. Secondly, I have used this company for years without any problems. Thirdly, did you ask the owner if his employees are bonded and insured? Sounds like you didn't. This sounds like a classic case of someone pointing the finger without gathering all the facts. I also find it odd that there are not other complaints about this company--anywhere--on any website or at the Better Business Bureau even though they have been in business for many years. And lastly, if you do not want your "piggy bank" money to disappear, then perhaps it is wise to not leave it sitting out where anyone who walks in can see it. That's just basic common sense.

I've used John Markl and his company for numerous jobs over the past few years, including the installation of a complete new HVAC system last year.
They are honest, ethical and they do what they say they'll do.
I'm in Law Enforcement and I've never heard of anything negative about Markl's company

When the customer called to accuse our employees of theft, they were asked if the police had been contacted. Customer stated that they had not. We suggested that they contact the police immediately and file a report.
As of Monday, there was no record at the police department of any complaint being filed.
Something here doesn't add up. If you honestly believe that you've been burglarized or otherwise victimized by theft....and you are certain as to who did it, why would you not contact the authorities? Sounds like a shake-down to us.
