As a former manager at Marvin Windows & Doors, I can tell you that the Marvin Patio doors are poorly designed and are notorious for leaking. True, they are not to be used in certain areas of the country, but the doors are poorly built. Having seen these manufactured on the lines I have seen sealant put in the wrong places numerous times, causing leaks and air to get through. Many times parts were left off, also leading to leaking problems. This is the case with many of their doors, but especially with the patio doors.

Handles were left off many units and glass put in backwards were also common issues. The quality leaves a lot to be desired.

I work for Marvin Windows and Doors in Warroad. Yes, mistakes do happen, as they do in all businesses. However, quality control and the testing that all of the windows go through catch 99 percent of the mistakes and these mistakes are corrected before the windows leave the plant. The employees at Marvin Window and Doors Warroad plant are amazing. They are devoted to the quality of the product that they put out. We work long hours and go through many hours of training each month. We put out a great product that we build with pride. Marvins is a private company that prides itself on dedication to it's workers and to it's product and we strive to make them to the customers specifications. Perhaps the person that wrote the article bashing Marvins is just a disgruntled employee that did not possess ability to work as a team player or did not care if they helped to put out a good product. I would not hesitate to put Marvin Windows in my house and people looking for a good window should not hesitate to do the same Thank You
