Purchased ventrilo hosting in 2010 for my guild. Everything was ok up until around August 2011. That is when they switched IP's and such, and would NOT update the PNTR record for my custom hostname. I had a _____.ownzyou.info host name. When I contacted them, they told me it was my problem and to go to the control panel and fix it. That I was the one who broke it. I told them again what happened, no response.
I told them to cancel the service and do not rebill me. I was on 6 month payments with them. Come February 2012 I was charged. I did a reversal on paypal, told them I was not able to use the service for over 6 months and had asked them to cancel. Paypal found in my favor and refunded the money. However in August again, they re-billed me AGAIN. I had thought that the recurring transaction was canceled. This was proved incorrect. I filed a dispute again with paypal, and maxfrag decided to fight it and escalate it saying it was my fault. I told paypal that my account is inactive, I hadn't been able to use the service in over a year, and all connection was disabled. Paypal found in my favor and the transaction has been canceled. Stay far away from MaxFrag if you can.
