I hate to inform this poor woman that she is sadly incorrect. In your membership kit it explains that you are enrolling into a membership such as a sam's club or costco. You get member benefits and reduced prices that the public does not get, and you pay an annual membership fee of just $12.00 after your first year. You are required to place a minimum product order each month spending either 35 product points or 70 product points. The thing is this woman had to choose her point requirements and set up her backup order which personally I have found to be very helpful. YOU choose your products, which aren't all cleaning products, and YOU choose how much money you spend. If by the last day of the month you haven't placed an order, Melalueca will process your backup order and charge the credit card that YOU gave to them when YOU signed up. NO scams, no fraud, it's all in black and white. You even have the first 30 days of enrollment to try them out and cancel without any further obligations with a refund of your membership kit. Yes you have to cancel in writing which it CLEARLY states in the member agreement. All legitimate companies require written notification before they cancel an account. Everyone knows that. The products are GREAT, they range from makeup to vitamins to laundry soap. I am a stay at home mom with 5 kids and one on the way and it is more economical to buy from them. My laundry soap is better and cheaper than "TIDE". Not to mention it is shipped directly to my door, when I need it. Ordering is easy and convenient with 3 ways to order and shipping costs are less than filling up my suv and going to the store and buying products that are more costly per ounce and aren't eco friendly. Melalueca is BIG on preserving the earth in which we live. There is also NO pressure to sell the products to others. If you want a part time or full time home business that works similar to "Avon and Mary Kay" the opportunity is there. And at no time is it EVER promised that you will get rich. Like ANY job you get out of it what you put into it. I suggest this woman get the story straight and pay closer attention when someone is suggesting a product or service to her in the future. This is one of the few straight forward companies I have found that keeps their word. For every good there is a bad and I guess some people pout and pass on negative information when they are ignorant to the terms and conditions and don't get there way. You be the judge, don't let one person's opinion sway you. Get several!

What happened in this situation happens in every company. This was a company representative being dishonest in order to have personal gain. Before you sign up or join anything, read the policies and procedures of the company. Melalueca has nothing to hide. Their policy for cancellation is in print. You're not forced to order. There is no autoship. The purpose of a back-up order is explained in detail. If you don't set up a back-up order, you must manually place your order to receive your products. Melalueca is a 23 year old sound company with a reputation for excellence in leadership and business. Products are not sold or distributed. People are simply referred to switch to safer better products. As a preferred customer, you are paid residual income by Melalueca to refer safer products to others. Over 50% of Melalueca's revenue is shared with its customers. It's never been about the money with Melalueca. You should get ALL the facts.
