THEY are the ones who refused to repair the collision damage for FREE. They are also the ones who refused to forgive the debt owed by Pam for the truck damaged due to no fault of the Dealership. Good grief!

Cmon people dont be so quick to jump in there and support someone who takes advantage of people with bad credit. In the past i have had several medical problems and even with ins. the bills add up to more than you can pay in the time they want them so they post them on your credit. And anyone who says medical bills dont effect your credit is strait full of it. I bought a car from the mcmc junk dealer. The tranny went out after 30 days. They would not touch it. In there handshake promises while your buying the car they say if anything major goes wrong well fix it and just add it to your note. RIIIIIGHT. It was a ford minivan we had problems with the ac, the tranny, and several other expensive things. Finnally i said to heck with it i thought we just got a bad one. So we traded it back in and because we had only paid on it a year and a half they wanted atleast $1600.00 more to get me into something else. Ok i did it drove the 2001 Ford Taurus off the lot not two blocks away the ac goes hot. We take it back, they say they fixed it with a new compressor. Just over 30 days later bam the compressor goes out $1,500.00 more. Also if you buy a car from MCMC there are some cars on there lot that does not require you to have collision. MCMC is a very risky car dealer that completly shafts you with incredibly high interest rates and rehashed buisness cars bought at auction for what you pay down. However i do agree its not their resonsibility to fix your car if you wreck it. Peace Rob

But I have to agree with the other posters here, MCMC's responsibility to you ended after the 90 day warranty period and they did honor their 90 day warranty. Did you report this to your insurance company? Make out a police report? Your insurance company should help fight the other insurance company. Someone hit me in the rear a few years ago. His insurance company only wanted to pay for an aftermarket bumper on my car. I wanted an OEM bumber, after all, that's what he ruined when he hit me. My insurance company went to bat for me and got me what I wanted. If you're so proud of your perfect 2 year payment history, the worst thing you can do is default on this loan. Even if they repo the Blazer, they can come after you for the difference in what you owe on the loan and what the vehicle is worth. If the vehicle, in it's present condition is only worth $500 and you currently owe $1500 on the loan, you will still owe them a deft of $1000 which they can try to collect and report to the credit reporting agencies.

Well Liability is all we could afford on 2 cars being that I'm disabled etc. I didn't want to get into that but you asked. I don't know why the collision place wants 400. They didn't do anything to the truck. I don't know what to do really. We are now trying to decide what to do. We would liek to keep the truck and fix it but man 400 to get it from caliber collion and then behind a payment is a lot of $ ya know . Imput Please & Thank You Small Claims is a good idea not sure where to start and I'm a pretty smart chick. lol Go after the guy or his insurance ?

At least I have had to on every single one I ever financed. In fact, most will force you to have full coverage and will tack it on to your note if you don't. I also recommend gap insurance, which will pay off the difference between what the insurance company pays and what is owed on the vehicle. I don't see what the rip-off is here. They financed a vehicle for you. They were not involved in an accident, you were. How is it their fault that you were underinsured? You are fortunate that they don't find you in breach of contract by not having full coverage and demanding the balance in full.

As a somewhat smart guy, I advise you to buy collision coverage next time. As I also found out the hard way, it is the only way to be sure to be paid for damage that someone else causes. You can also file a small-claims lawsuit against the other driver. It is a reasonably simple process that you can do without paying a lawyer. At that point, their insurance company may decide to just pay you. What is the other shop's justification for wanting $400 if they didn't do anything to your vehicle?. If you default on this car, realize that you will get terrible credit, no car (not even a damaged one) and bill collectors hounding you. It may be worth patching the Blazer up enough so that it is legal to drive and continuing to make the payments.

I must have hit some nerves here .lol We only had liability and it wont pay to fix the blazer and this wreck happened on a private parking lot even though the other guy was at fault our claim from his insurance was denied . Im just saying that MCMC should work with people when something like this happens , because &*&* happens in life . I guess we will let the truck go back because the body shop wants 400 to get it off the lot and now we are behind a payment on the truck which is a first . Just save up to buy a cash car dont know what else to do ....unless you smart people want to leave me another comment ....

If the other guy hit you, why was it denied? The way it's suppose to work is that if the other guy hits you and has insurance, his insurance co. is suppose to take care of everything, to include the repair of your vehicle and a rental car while yours is being repaired. If he didn't have insurance and you had the proper insurance, either underinsured or uninsured, your insurance co. is suppose to take care of those things and go after his insurance at a later time. You still have to make your vehicle and insurance payments even though your vehicle is damaged or destroyed. I still haven't figured out what the car dealer and payment history have to do with any of this.

1) You bought an old vehicle, after you took it home you found problems and they fixed it under warranty. Kudos to them. 2) You had the misfortune to have an accident. Is it their fault? Your contract is still valid and they are entitled to every payment remaining on the Blazer. It's not their fault you had an accident. Your beef is with the insurance company or whomever hit you. Your blaming everone else does not relieve you of your responsibilities. 3) And no, before you accuse me of being an employee, I have no relationship with whomever this dealership is. I just get tired of folks who would rather whine and try to use any excuse thay can to walk away fron their obligations; it drives up prices for those of us who do pay what we have promised to pay. I don't see why you're reporting the dealer here. It is in no way their fault that your truck got wrecked. You still have to pay for it. That's why you buy insurance. If anything this dealer may be a little better than most since they did (begrudgingly) honor the warranty and replace your ball joints. In a situation like this you always report it to YOUR insurance agent. If it is clear that it was the other guy's fault then your rates will not increase, even if your company eventually ends up paying for it. Then your company will force the other guy's insurance to pay them back, or even sue the other guy if he didn't have insurance. It doesn't matter to you. The other guy's company is working to protect the other guy. It does no good to contact them directly.

What does a 2 year payment history and a wrecked truck have to do with anything? Maybe, IF you had insurance you might try there. You might also try and go after the guy that hit you. Maybe HE had insurance. You know it's an interesting fact that only 40 to 50 percent of the folks in Texas HAVE insurance at any given time.
