Well this was two years ago but here's the situation; I'm 18 - brand new to the military and ready to buy my pretty red car. I listened to my mom and bought a used car. 2 years old, 18k miles. It was a 2002 mercury cougar fully loaded; leather seats, six disk cd changer, thermometer, power sun roof everything! listed at something like 13.7k.

I kelly blue booked it and requested they knock the price down to 13k. They said that would be fine and after keeping me there literally hostage after 6 hours I walked out with 17k in debt. I put down 4000 as a down payment and traded in a 1995 hyundai accent for 1000. How did I end up paying 22k for this 13k car. Well Moore financed me, I didnt even see the service agreement until after I sat there for 6 hours.

They lied to me and said they were knocking down the price 700 dollars since I was paying 4000 in cash. The price was listed in the contract as 14k, then they required me to purchase an extended warranty, gap insurance, and all of the above. 17000 at 10% interest. I walked out happy and 3 days later when my brakes were squealing and I pulled out the service contract I felt like an idiot.

Now, 2 years later. The car is a piece of S*** it has 44k miles and has been to the ford dealership 3 times in the last two weeks and has killed two alternators in the same time. 3 in 6 months. Now I get to deal with the ford dealership trying to get me to trade in my cougar for a mustang.

For my next car, it's a one hour limit, no hassle pricing, and no losing any keys. Any other advise or information on lemon law for arizona would be much appreciated. I'm now in the market for a new car again and I already feel the swindeling coming on.

You're no match for car dealers. Not many people are.
