Here is my opinion.  I'm just complaining here, and giving a warning to anyone looking for an honest car dealer in Clermont, FL.  Napelton Chrysler Jeep Dodge is NOT an honest dealer!

I own a 2007 Chrysler that has Chrysler's Lifetime Powertrain Warranty.   It was purchased from Carmax Chrysler Jeep Dodge new.  Well, Carmax Chrysler Jeep Dodge is out of business, so I have to use another Chrysler dealer for warranty repairs.

I usually take the long drive out to Orlando, but I saw that there was a new Chrysler dealer in town, Napelton Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Clermont.   Since it was time to take my car in for it's 5 year mandatory Powertrain Inspection, I decided to avoid the long drive to Orlando and take it to Napelton in Clermont.  (Chrysler requires the car get inspected at a Chrysler dealer every 5 years, to keep the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty in effect.)

Their service department did the inspection and found nothing wrong with the Powertrain.  They did report that my brakes were dangerously worn down and my suspension was missing parts!  I found this hard to believe as my car was stopping perfectly well with no vibration or noise, and the car is riding very nicely with no shake and no pulling to one side, etc.

They told me I'd be driving a car that was dangerous to be operating.  That was four months ago and I haven't died in a fiery car crash yet, and the car stops and rides wonderfully.

Recently I received a "Personal Offer" from Napelton's General Manager Bob Barnette.  This offfer was so personal... NOT!  It came from a bulk mailing address in Tampa.  It was full of the B.S. lies and deception we are all used to from scum-bag dealers.  He told me he'd be happy to give me $4,000.00 over Kelly Blue Book for my old car... but I had to get in before October 1st and bring the offer letter with me!

Why would he do that, when he could buy a car like mine off Mannheim's Yellow Lane auction for about $950.00? Napelton is just a lying, scumbag dealership who is so desperate for business that they will use the old, worn out lying tactics of another era!  The letter was pitiful and disgusting at the same time.

Who would want to buy a car from these scammers?  If only they would do business in an open and honest manner, and drop the LIES then maybe they could sell more cars the right way. So whatever you do, avoid these lying bastards.

Who told you the warranty would be null and void if you didn't get it fixed at the dealership?  As per the Magnuson-Moss Act, you can get that car fixed ANYWHERE you chose WITHOUT voiding the warranty!  May I suggest you contact an independent mechanic, like the guy you hear on the radio in Orlando and speak to him about this.  I have zero connection with him but I do know of his work and quality.  Please, do not fall for this con-game again.

You are absolutely correct regarding Napleton.  This chain is one of the sleaziest in the country.  If you buy a car from this POND SCUM, you will be paying a $600-$1000 bogus, add-on, phoney fee.  These people are PURE GARBAGE.  If you hang around any Napleton store long enough, THEIR SMELL will kill you.  They are WELL KNOWN in the business as PURE SCUM, TOTAL SLIMEBALLS and COMPLETE POND SCUM.  Please, don't go there again and tell everybody you know about where the SLIMEBALLS are.

Again, contact a good independent mechanic, like the guy on the radio.  Don't ever, ever, ever again go anywhere near ANY Napleton slime.
