We sold this guy some wheels and tires for his Eclipse. At the time of purchase, there was absolutely no mention of a Jetta. That, however is irrelevant, because the wheels DO fit a Jetta. We have the exact same Jetta as one of our shop vehicles and we have put the exact same wheel this guy bought on our shop Jetta. The part he says a dealership told him was unsafe was the lug conversion. The lug conversion converts a Volkswagen to having a lug nut configuration instead of a lug bolt configuration. He went to a Volkswagen dealership who told him it was unsafe. The fact of the matter is that the dealership probably had no clue what the bolt conversion did or how to install it. As they say, ingorance is bliss. If the wheels this person received were scuffed up or damaged when he received them, I really wonder why he left us positive feedback on eBay. Seems kind of strange, huh? If you look on our feeback on eBay, we have not received ONE negative feedback in the last 3 years. If we are ripping people off, why is it that we maintain such a positive history on eBay? This guy wanted to return a used product to us and have us give him a full refund, and we refused. We are an honest dealership and we obviously know more than the dealership this guy brought his car to. One final thought on the safety issue: If the lug conversion is so unsafe, why would a multimillion dollar company (not us, the manufacturer of the lugs) continue to produce them? And why would we continue to sell them? That would be a huge liability, and there's non way they would still be in production. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us. Thanks.
