On Nov 24th I saw that my personal bank account had been overdrawn. I did not recognize the charge, so I called the bank. They informed me who the charge was from, and the number was on the transaction summary. I called 1-800-658-7727 and spoke to a lady about my issue. Found out they charged me for the month of October as well. Total charges 20.33 member fee x 2 + 37.00 overdraft fee. The customer service agent was very helpful, and told me the reimbursement would take place in 5 or so business days, that I should send in a bank statement for reimbursement of the overdraft fee, and she gave me the member number that was associated with the account, so I could log in and request that no more charges be taken from my bank account (apparently that is the only procedure they have to do so). As of today (Dec 8th 2009)I have not seen any reimbursement.

I called today to check on the status, and was transferred from the initial customer service agent, to a lady named Lynn (sp?). She informed me that they would not be reimbursing my account, and should have not told me that last time. I relayed the information of the previous contact, and she said that was not what would happen. I asked why I did not get a call to inform me of the change. She said they can not discuss another person's account with me (meaning the membership account). I told Lynn I don't want to discuss the membership account, I want the money returned to my bank account. I did not authorize the charges. At this point she told me that I would have to contact my bank and dispute the charges. I will do so. I just do not understand how they can keep my money when I never allowed it, and the member account, and my bank account are not the same person. Regardless of the state of the member account I have say over my own money being withdrawn. I do not have a membership with any health club beside our local YMCA which is in no way affiliated with this business. This member account is not in my name. Not sure where they got my account information to take the money from. I am unsure if they will even stop taking it out monthly or not.
