This guy is a scam artist and full of lies and stories. Please beware and don't listen to his lies and stories. he writes bad checks and they wont cash! Avoid this man at all costs

You think an attorney would know better than this. They told me the way they were doing business was completely legal, but I recently found out from the Attorney General and the California State Bar that this is in fact not true. When it came time to pay my company its commissions, there was always a different excuse. On one occassion they tried to say my client's check bounced, but the client sent me proof that it went through. On another, they blamed it on lack of paperwork when the client clearly had sent in all necessary paperwork. The one commission check I did receive from them bounced and they refused to make it up. If they're bouncing checks to their re-sellers can you imagine what they're doing to the borrowers? If you are a victim of this company I advise you to contact the Attorney General for the State of California as he is making an example of those so called legal companies that are operating illegally.

Nick Gottuso aka Affiliated Capital Corporation aka Modified Mortgage Solutions aka Brian Linnekins Attorney at Law, aka HCLC aka Home Credit Law Center aka Home Care Law Center are in the business of scamming both borrowers and re-sellers (affiliates) of their services out of money. He and his business partner Brian Linnekins who is an attorney are con men and rip off artists of the highest caliber. I was a re-seller for them unfortunately until I realized they never intended to service my clients or pay me my commissions for getting the checks in. If you're thinking about working with this company in any capacity stay as far away as you can. First off, as of October 11th it is illegal for any business or attorney to accept fees up front for loan modifications. They get around this by saying you are paying for a Forensic Review not a loan modification.

Bad check tips

#2Consumer Comment

Mon, September 07, 2015

Time was when a man's word was as good as his bond. But nowadays, even the signatures of many persons are worthless - especially to retailers who are stuck with bad checks.

The key items on a check should be examined closely because they can tip off the owner-manager to a worthless check. Your procedures should also include a dollar limit on the size of checks you will accept and the type of identification necessary to back up the signature or endorsement. In addition, it is profitable to review with employees the checks which the bank refuses to honor.

A check carries several key items such as name and location of bank, date, amount (in figures and spelled out), and signature. Close examination of such key items can sometimes tip you off to a worthless check.

Once you are satisfied that the check is okay, the question is, "Is the person holding the check the right person?" Requiring identification helps you to answer the question.

But keep in mind that no identification is foolproof. A crook is a crook no matter what type of identification you ask to see. If the person wants to forge identification, he or she can.

Some stores demand at least two pieces of identification. It is important to get enough identification so the person presenting the check can be identified and located if and when the check turns out to be worthless.

Regardless of the type of identification you require, it is essential that you and your employees compare the signature on the check with the one on the identification.

You should also compare the person standing before you with the photograph and or description on the identification.
