Even though I have requested several times to be removed from their email lists and database, this company still continues to send me emails advertising their over-priced junk, which like spam, I consider them to be garbage. Do yourself a favor and do not buy from them - you can find better deals many other places and you won't be haunted for the rest of your life with their spam advertising emails. IMO, nopi is bad news - plain and simple.

We stand by our above posted assertion of the events as they unfolded.
There's an old saying about three sides to every story;
Your's, mine and the truth...
No one at Nopi was ever dishonest, disrespectful or evasive to Mr XXXXXXX. We were disapointed to learn that the part delivered was not what he wanted...however... Mr XXXXXXX made no attempt to return the part for a FULL refund even after it was offered. Mr XXXXXXXX took delivery of the item, modified it and proceeded to install it.
Our obligation is to provide the correct part and if we can't, then it's our further obligation to refund the price of the part and any shipping charges incurred. We offered that and Mr XXXXXXX chose to take matters into his own hands. That is beyond our control.
Mr XXXXXXXX nor anyone else has been "ripped off" by Nopi. We've enjoyed an excellent reputation in the industry for 45+ years and we are very proud of that. I guess that it's true that you can't please everyone.
Since Mr XXXXXXX has used this site to offer suggestions, let us offer one of our own to the Automotive
Performance/Replacement Parts Professionals who may be reading this that if Mr XXXXXX of Missouri approaches you as a potential customer, do Yourself and your Company a favor and refer him to your competition.

I stand by my original posting above. I specifically requested a STOCK REPLACEMENT DOWNPIPE, not a 'racing' pipe nor an illegal pipe, which is what they sent to me (it eliminated the catalytic converter from the exhaust system). Bypassing the catalytic converter and/or removing it is illegal in most states, I believe.
I sent emails and left phone messages for 'Rusty' (my original contact at nopi), but as I posted earlier, they were not returned. In order to have my car properly licensed, I had to have a legal and working exhaust system and I was running out of time. At that point, I had no choice but to have the pipe modified in order for it to fit my vehicle.
In my opinion, Nopi is a company that will tell you anything necessary in order to make a sale and they do not stand behind their products. I do NOT recommend that you do business with them. I feel they are untrustworthy. I am not alone with this opinion. All you have to do is Google 'Nopi sucks' or 'Nopi ripoff' and you'll get 1000's of hits on other customers that feel they have been cheated or are upset with the company.
You can also find much better pricing elsewhere. The only reason I called then initially is because they were the only ones that offered the pipe I was looking for. It turns out, they advertised an item that was no longer available. Now I feel that it was a 'bait & switch'.
Since this has taken place, I have politely requested 3 times to be removed from their email database and to no longer send me their advertising emails, but they continue to do so ( I received one today).
To sum up, they lied to me, sent me the wrong part, did not answer attempts by me to contact them, refused any sort of compensation to me for their mistake, lied in public (this forum) about the situation, and continue to spam me with their emails.
Is this a company that you want to do business with?

We received an on-line order from Mr XXXXXXX on the 11th of August of this year for a Bosal exhaust component (839-139) which according to Bosal was unavailable at that time.
In many cases of unavailability, we would send the customer an e-mail with regret of not being able to provide the parts requested. In this case, I called Mr XXXXXXXX to personally inform him that the part was unavailable. Instead of my call being met by the usual "thanks for the call/e-mail, I'll keep looking" I was asked rather abruptly by Mr XXXXXXX"Well, what are us first generation Eclipse owners supposed to do?!. I looked a little further and found an alternate performance pipe that would bolt directly in. Mr XXXXXXX asked if it would fit his car, and after double checking his application I assured him it would, and sent him the part. I got an e-mail from Mr XXXXXXXX stating the part had arrived on August 18 ( 13 days before the end of the month) and he informed me that the pipe that he recieved would eliminate the catalytic converter and he would check legality and may have to return the part, I assured him that would be no problem. I didn't recieve another e-mail or phone call/voice from Mr XXXXXXX after that. Nothing.. It wasn't until August 23 that an e-mail came in to [email protected] demanding payment for modification of the downpipe that Mr XXXXXXX was going to inquire as to it's legality. Mr XXXXXXXX had 13 days to source another supplier if this was something that had to be completed before the end of August. He chose to modify the part and demand payment. The original order was an internet order with regular UPS ground shipping requested. There was no sense of urgency relayed to me other that Mr Bergman had to have something that would fit his car. I did my best to accomodate him, and for our efforts he has peppered us with Vulgar, Maniacal e-mails. It's my understanding that the pipe that he had to have "What are we supposed to do" is still on the car and working fine with a quick inexpensive re-weld of one flange. BTW, Mr XXXXXXX, You're Welcome.
