North American Sweepstakes Rip-off Scam Dalmeny Saskatchewan
A couple days ago we a 3500 dollar check in the mail we called lady listed on the paper a Lisa James it looked real. So we took it to a bank they said there wasnt any hits on that check but wouldnt cash it because my boyfriend didnt have an account there . we then took it to his bank they said that alot of these checks were scams and bounced and so we came home and called this lady and told her that she said a lot of these checks bounce because people just try to cash them with out contacting them first and assured us the check would clear we lookd all over the internet to find this company and couldnt find anything on our company which is g&m management Sweepstakes and internet games payment verification center..
The letter reads We are pleased to inform you that you are one of the declared winners of the north american sweepstakes held on dec 30 2004 we have made many unsuccessful attempts to contact you regarding this winning...and it has the clain number and everything but we was looking around on ripoffreport.com and and found our letter .the same letter we got except for different claim numbers but anyways the check is deposited into our bank account waiting to clear but its not like we have any money to begin with that account has no money in it but even on this site no one but one person has sent the money.
They wasnt our any money unless they cashed the check.so so What if they have our bank information the account has no money in it but that check and if it clears we are thing about keeping the money its 3500 dollars. what are they gonna do it suppossed to be our money from our winnings. but the lady also told my b/f that we have to take the money to a tax specialist in our area but on the paper it says via money gram
