Six months ago I purchased a truck from NEITC aka North East Indiana Truck Center aka Wayne Wickard.

I was desperate to purchase a truck and found a dealership that would work with me. Little did I know what a catastrophe it would turn out to be.

When I was purchasing the truck from NEITC I noticed SEVERAL repairs needed to be done to the truck. I advised the salesman Craig that I would only purchase the truck if the repairs were made. He advised me that the repairs should only take two days- and that the truck will be ready at this time. I advised him that I would not sign the contracts until the repairs were made.

Two days later I returned to NEITC, and the repairs were not finished. Craig then advised me that it should take three more days. So I went home and waited three more days. By this time I had already given up my company job in anticipation of becoming an owner operator three days prior.

When I returned the second time, I was informed by Craig that the repairs would be finished by the close of business, and that if I came today to sign the contracts I would be able to take the truck home with me. The repairs were not done that day, but against my better judgement, and out of desperation I signed the contracts. A week later- I took the truck with about 1/2 of the repairs completed. I never legally pursued them for the other 1/2 of the repairs, out of desperation to get to work- I wrote it off.

During the closing, Craig advised me that their service manager reccomended an overhaul in 6 months. He also said that they would take care of this FREE OF CHARGE. This was a bold face lie. I did suspect that the salesman was lying at closing because of his refusal to write the promise on the contract.

I know the promise of an overhaul was a lie because of my communication with one of their office persons. I was informed by one of their employees that "He promises overhauls with every sale, and we never do them". I asked if the owner Wayne Wickard was aware of this and she confirmed the he indeed was. I then asked why Craig was still employed with their company- and she was unable to produce a reason.

I would like to say that this is the end of my trouble with NEITC, but it is not.

Recently they tried to sell my loan to a lender "Sterling Financial". I was only aware of this because Sterling Financial called me. Sterling Financial wanted to mail me new contracts for the new loan, but the new loan would be for an additional two years, I would owe $2000 refinance fee, and the interest rate would be considerably higher. In all the new contract would cost me an additional 15k.

I immediately contacted the office person I spoke with concerning this phone call, and she would not discuss it while at work, and told me she would call me on her lunch break, she did. She told me Wayne Wickard ran a trucking business prior to NEITC that went out of business because of similar scams. She also advised me that Wayne Wickard had done this to two or three other people THIS week, and that it would be a good idea to call an attorney.

Right now, I am considering legal action against North East Indiana Truck Center, and Wayne Wickard. I would not advise ANYONE to purchase a truck from this company.
