On July 31, 2007 I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life.....buying a car from North Texas NIssan. Before I made the 150 mile trip up there I had been talking to this dealer named Eric Kelly about a 2002 Trans am that I had found on the internet. He told me everything I wanted to hear to get me to come up there. Eric and I sit down and start negotiating, turns out nothing is the same as what we talked about. He did not want to give me what my car was worth and was asking too much for his car. On the phone he told me they would give me $14,500 for my car and he "did not know" how much they wanted for their trans am. Turns out they want $26,500 for theirs and want to give me $12,600 for my car! After hours of talking to him and coming to a reasonable deal, he asks me to initial a piece of paper that just had the deals we were trying to agree on. Then he starts throwing forms in my face rushing me to sign them, basically telling me to hurry up on all of them. Finally I get my sister to co-sign for me on the car and Eric tells me he has to follow me to my sister's house to get her signatures on all the paperwork. I get to the finance guy's office whose name is Bryan Holman and the first thing he tells me is that we are being video taped and audio taped so feel free to ask e any questions, which I thought was odd but whatever. I realize I have not seen any paperwork yet, no numbers on the agreement or anything so I ask him all the things I needed to know. He tells me I got the car for $20,900, my trade-in was $14,500 and my interest rate was 8.3% for payments at $459.00 over 72 months. I was very surprised because that was everything I was looking for. I was just excited about getting the car that I did not realize he never gave me any papers to sign, all I signed in that office was a form saying I was ok with being video taped. Anyways, we head back to my sister's house for her signature. When we get there, he does the same thing to her, rushes her through everything like he can not wait to get back to the dealership, never telling her numbers or anything. As he is about to leave, my sister asks him why we are not able to keep any copies of the contract and he says he has forgotten some paperwork and that he would mail everything we needed back to us a couple days later. So we wait and wait for almost two weeks and guess what? NO PAPERWORK! Then I get a letter in the mail from Wells Fargo stating that changes have been made to my contract. So I call and call the dealership trying to find out what is going on. I can not get a straight answer from anyone that I spoke to and I spoke to atleast 10-15 different people about this. Everyone has a different excuse as to why I can not get a contract mailed or faxed to me, managers, salesmen, everyone! Wells Fargo tellsme that they have no record of sending me a letter stating changes have been made and tell me the dealership must have sent that to me. So right a way they suspect fraud and their fraud department is on the case right now. After a threatening letter I sent the dealership stating I better receive a contract that day and I have hired a lawyer and I suspect fraud and so does Wells Fargo, I get a contract ten minutes later over fax. One problem with it, all the numbers are what they initally wanted for their car, my trade-in, a higher interest rate, and higher payment, with additional warranties, tire and wheel amounts, etc. To finally conclude this, North Texas Nissan is nothing but a bunch of liars, cowards, and bastards. There is no telling how many people they have ripped off but I tell you this, they have messed around with the wrong person this time and I will be taking their asses to court and bringing their sorry asses down so that hopefully this does not happen to anyone else.
