As the very first action I took as a new verified seller, I tried to import 10 auctions, as recommended. At 18, 24 and 30 PLUS hours I wrote emails, asking why it showed as "still processing".
I received no reply whatsoever from " customer support", so called in after 35 PLUS hours of waiting. After 17 minutes on hold, a male came on the line and told me that importing was "only for founding members". When I pointed out that NOWHERE does it claim that to be the case, I actually had to provide him the URLS, as he claimed to not know them. When I asked how he could provide support if he did not even know the site, his answer was " well, it's a young site, and you have to cut us some slack" He then, I swear, belched into the phone, did not bother to excuse himself, and told me that I should expect problems, and should "give them time to figure things out.
Finally, I gave up, and requested my membership be canceled, and my money refunded. He promised to investigate and call me back the same day ( yesterday). No call.
I wrote one last email, demanding a refund, and stating I would do a charge back if I did not receive one. Finally, I got a reply via email telling me that " a programming link was broken". That was it: not so much as apology for my wasted time, nothing.
I wrote and told them I would be willing to give them another chance, if someone would let me know if/when the problem was fixed. Still no reply.
So, needless to say, I am FAR less than happy, and will not be doing business with OnlineAuctions.com . Obviously, I will be calling my credit card company in the morning.
It's a shame really: I was perfectly willing to become a Founding Member, but wanted a month to check things out first. GLAD I did.
Say what you want about EBAy, at least they do reply ( albeit usually with a canned response ).
