OPTIMA HEALTHCARE PRODUCTS FAX SCAMMERS-PLACING FAKE PURCHASE ORDERS! ALHAMBRA California
Originally received a fax purchase order from this company for 400 boxes of powder-free latex medical gloves. Since that was a huge amount and this company had not ordered from us before, we called to confirm and get pre-payment.
At that time, Carla Garcia, said they meant to only order 40 boxes. She faxed back an adjusted PO which included details of "how that would have been our heads with the owners" regarding their original fax.
We drop shipped their order from our supplier directly to the address @ 300 Cypress in Alhambra, CA. They were given 30 days to pay. Once this time passed and we tried to call to check on payment, the offices had been shut down and the phone disconnected. I googled the reverse address & reached a man in the building who advised me that they had moved out after apparently scamming several people. He gave me the building owners name who had leased to them who said the same & that he had already given all the information he had to Det. Rodriguez w/Alhambra PD. We filed a report also @ Det. Rodriguez's request. They are using a name similarly associated with reputable companies.
BEWARE ANY ONE FAXING REQUESTS USING THIS NAME OR CARLA GARCIA OR WHERE THE ADDRESS/NAME IS SIMILAR TO REPUTABLE COMPANIES.
