Pacific Stereo Ripoff FALSE, fraudulent advertising, insulting price gouging Garden Grove California
I first heard of Pacific Stereo from a Penny Saver ad I got in the mail. I noticed the advertised prices were very reasonable, so I called them to confirm the inventory on a few items. They confirmed that they still had a lot in stock but said they could not verify the prices over the phone. I went down there today to look at a few things. One of which was a 6.5" motorized flip out, in dash monitor that they have advertised for $98. When I got there they said that $98 was the monthly payment price because they had financing available. NO WHERE on the ad does it state or have a disclaimer to signify that the actual advertised price of the flip out monitor was more that the STATED price of $98. My next inquiry was about XM tuners and adapters for satellite ready head units. They had what I wanted in stock for $348. This price quote consisted of one XM/Sony digital adapter and one XM tuner. The price everywhere else is $50 a unit, making the grand total in the neighborhood of $100. I don't know how in the world they are allowed to continue with such deceptive and blatantly fraudulent marketing/advertising/pricing methods. Please do yourself a favor and NEVER SHOP AT PACIFIC STEREO. If you are a lawyer interested in a false advertising suit, please contact me and I will provide you will all the necessary details. I do not wish to profit from such legal actions, I only wish to acquire said goods at the advertised price.
