Drivers beware and always go with your gut instinct, if it smells like sh_ _ it probably is. First no paid orientation, that is not orientation at all. We pretty much sat around, smoked, and talked s**t. Then when you finally get a truck, thats a joke too. They give you a truck and tell you to go back to Motel parking lot to sleep for the night. Next morning with several more questions to ask, I am handed a load and told to get the Hell out of office and get load, "its already late". So I got load and headed to delivery,in Pennsylvania, but guess what no prepass, do you know how hard it is to get comchecks cashed on a toll road (no truck stops) to pay for tolls? Well i tried to stay positive. Then when i got into a very heated discussion from an ignorant dispatcher about HOS, finally told them to leave me alone, i will drive my truck legally. Most of the loads average 600 miles and 2 days , so do the math not a lot of miles. Almost have to beg to get anything including fuel. The final disaster was home time request. According to the policy, must be turned in 2 weeks in advance, so i sent mine in 3 weeks in advance. Never hearing an answer i sent request every day for at least 10 days, until the safety director called me on the phone, and told me to stop sending in time off request. 1 week before home time still no word so i start asking about it, i was told "no problem" but the real problem i was still driving west to pick up 200 mile loads instead of driving east , I was still 1100 miles away from home. 2 days before i was supposed to be home, my wife called the owner or at least we thought he was the owner (Ben Palmentere). He told my wife someone lied to me, i could have easily been home when i said. But when i confronted him in person, just another sales pitch trying to keep me, even though now I was 2 days from home time and still 1100 miles away, now with no more time left on HOS. Needless to say this has been on of the most expensive mistakes I have ever made. I promise you would be better off unemployed than working for these unorganized, lying, manupilative, and low down people.
