Like Fred, the previous entry, I hired Patriot Moving to move my belongings from Los Angeles to Scottsdale, AZ. I'm typically a very thorough and careful consumer, but for some reason I didn't fully research this company because the salesperson, David Lamondin, was so friendly and professional.
HUGE MISTAKE. Google these guys -- they're ALL OVER the place for no-shows, holding deliveries hostage until you pay TWICE the price they provided in the estimate, total disregard for customer service, completely smashed belongings, mis-shipments, etc etc etc.
These guys are on a black list of movers.
I chose Patriot because Dave guaranteed me a pickup on 11/15 or 11/16 with delivery 2-4 calendar days later. I told Dave I had to move on those days and he told me he'd check; when he called me five minutes later and said yes, they could do it, I paid a $600 deposit by credit card. (And yes, I've already filed a fraud claim.) (And now I realize that no reputable company requires a deposit. What was I thinking???)
To make a long story short, they called me and said the movers would pick me up on 11/15. They didn't. I had to call them countless times. They wouldn't let me talk to the original salesperson because "my file had been transferred" and the customer service person who had my account was not responding to my voicemails. I begged to speak with SOMEBODY, ANYBODY, and the receptionist was UNBELIEVABLY RUDE when telling me that there was literally nobody else I could talk to but Walter Sanchez.
Needless to say, nobody showed up on 11/16 either. Once again, I called several times. I did get ahold of Walter and he promised to call me right back. Never did. When I called him 45 minutes later, I was told that he was gone for the day (they're in FL and I'm in LA). Once again I tried to get the operator to direct me to somebody who could at least tell me who to call locally. She constantly talked over me spewing out a seriously canned speech, then hung up on me TWICE.
I then wrote an email to customer service (from their website), hoping that somebody else might respond. The email (
[email protected]) was rejected -- addressee unknown.
I personally cannot believe that anyone would work for such a company and tolerate such a total lack of respect for American consumers.
sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
