this is a bit long but worth it if you are an online shopper:
i am the proud "parent" of two little dogs. a 1 year old parti pomeranian named bear, and a 7 month old teacup chihuahua named pixie. these dogs are like my own children, and i love spoiling them. my dogs are both tiny: bear is about 6 lbs and pixie is only about 3. i recently aquired pixie in october of last year. so as you can imagine, she is very new and very spoiled. i recently was browsing the internet and came across a "luxery" pet boutique. they had quite a selection.
i purchased an italian leather carrier, rhinestone collar, two fancy dog dresses, and two rhinestone identification tags for my girls. My total for these items was over $900.00!! i thought it rather high priced for less than 10 items, but being an impulsive e-bayer, i had some cash to spare. i payed for the items using my paypal account. i noticed that the shipping would be a little longer for these items because they were shipped from dog couture designers all over the country.
still, i expected to see all of my items within the promised 6 weeks. about 2 months later, i had not recived a thing. i contacted hank riener via e-mail. no responce. i had to try twice more to get an answer. hank told me that they where "holding" my order, and were waiting to hear from me as of when to ship it out. ?????? ok, ive done online shopping since i was a child, and not once had i had to verify when i wanted my mechandise shipped out... this was a huge red flag to me.
anyone who has shopped over the internet can tell you that the max time for shipment and delivery is no more than 6 weeks, even for designer brands. this strange practice raised questions in my mind, but i decided to go along and let them know i was awaiting my items and gave the ok to ship... about 2 weeks after this happened, i recived the identification tags for bear and pixie. another week passed and i recived nothing more. i sent hank another e-mail asking him to ship.
i also told him that my lawyer would get involved if i recived nothing in a weeks time. just tonight, i got a responce from hank stating that the rest of the items i had ordered were discontinued. he asked if i would, instead like to be refunded for everything except the id tags. i said yes.
CONCLUSION: i am awaiting my refund from hank at pawprintzpetboutique.com. i have done a lot of internet shopping and have never even once had anything even remotly close to this happen. usually when an item is discontinued, it is removed from the web site. i found that part alone very suspicious... my conclusion is that this is a very shady buisness who carrys limeted merchandise and has extra items for sale on their site that they no longer carry or never carried to begin with. my hope is that if anyone has a furbaby and loves and pampers them like i do bear and pixie, i hope you have learned from this. dont buy from www.pawprintzpetboutique.com!!!!!!
